Nigerians now know, the Nigerian President tells Christiane Amanpour, that his campaign slogan that corruption could kill Nigeria "was no exaggeration."

As far as i'm concerned this administration has not made any reasonable progress in the fight against boko haram. Saying 14 out of 774 local government were taken before he came into power is a dirty lie. It is common knowledge that the 6 weeks offensive by the Nigerian Army during the elections led to the recapture of almost all of those local governments. And the fact that they may not currently hold caliphate does not mean you are winning the war. The simply restrategized and the fact is that they have taken much more lives under your watch and you have not defeated them as promised. As for corruption, we all know all he's done so far is witch-hunting. If he wants to rally tackle corruption he should start from the APC.

Buhari has a great chance to be a remarkable leader now. He could ask his attorney general to dismiss this case against Mazi Kanu and he could set up a committee of lawyers, historians, professors and politicians to look into the mess that has crippled Nigeria from all axis. The committee will look at the position of all the people with claim of right regardless of the merit. The panel will look at any such claim which has crippled Nigeria and created security problems in Nigeria. The president must know that history will look at what he accomplished and how he handled difficulties in his presidency. History will not look at the ineptitude of his counsel legal or otherwise. Very few men on earth will claim to have enjoyed privileges God has accorded this president and as such to whom much is given much is expected. While the issue of referendum and peace are still on the table it will be wise and beneficial to make hay while the sun shines because this is our country. I cannot believe that a soldier, a former military president and a current civilian president will like to see the fruit of his labor tarnished by failure to chose love; tarnished by prejudice or pride; tarnished by blindness or short sightedness. When his reign is over he will realize that he had a chance to do right by all Nigerians. Like leaders before him, he might have regrets, but why. He can do the right thing now. The time is now. When Buhari took office I was one of the lawyers that wrote publicly demanding that every Nigerian must help him fix Nigeria. A peaceful request for self determination or referendum is in fact one way to help him fix Nigeria. A well meaning and a Nigeria loving panel empowered and allowed time enough to hear all the evidence and advice the president will be such a great way to go and will be consistent with the manner of that humble presidential candidate who won votes from all Nigerians. This is such a beautiful chance for him to show his heart; to show history that he is worthy; to show his God that he came and he kept the faith. He must disregard those people around him with personal agenda.. To be clear. Mr. President appoint a panel of 36 Nigerians mostly lawyers fully representing all the states. Empower them to make inquiries and make recommendation. If possible make the hearing open to cameras. Let the panel recommend the way forward. Let the panel invite all people having any issues with Nigeria and the way it is organized at this time to appear and be heard. While this is going on all insurgence and insecurities will be suspended. True immunity will be granted to anyone who has any issues against Nigeria at this time. Just do it.
