At the World Economic Forum in Davos today, the president of Switzerland warned of a world in the throes of multiple crises. This also is the subject of a new book by political scientist Ian Bremmer. In "The Power of Crisis: How Three Threats - and Our Response - Will Change the World," Bremmer looks at how we can better prepare for the global challenges ahead, as he explains to Walter Isaacson.

Good point ... the 2 party system in the US is certainly a big part of the problem. Ukraine was given independence after collapse of the Soviet Union Kyivan Rus is a native land for Russians, it has a historic and geopolitical significance. It wasn’t Ukraine until Polish Lithuanian commonwealth Invaded from the West and Mongol Tartar empire invaded from the East and burned Kyiv. Western part was under Polish Lithuanian commonwealth, Russian Slavs have to fight Mongol Tartar to push them back. When Mongol Tartar threatened Polish Lithuanian commonwealth they joined Russian Slavs to fight Mongol Tartar. So Slavs that lived under Polish Lithuanian commonwealth mixed with poles that’s how Ukrainians in the West formed their identity. Then Rus recaptured Kyiv and threw out Poles, so the fight for our native territory continues to this day, for thousands of years.

Ur point? If u think other countries r going to allow Russia to tell them what they can do, keep dreaming. Just as Russia and Russia’s puppet states r in a security alliance, so to r democratic countries. If u don’t like it, tough. U control only want happens w/in ur own borders, no where else. NATO is a defense alliance. As long as Russia, or some other adversary , doesn’t invade/attack a NATO country, NATO won’t respond w/military action. Putin is well aware of this. He isn’t concerned w/NATO aside from the fact that it means he can’t re-occupy the old Soviet Union countries as Stalin did. Kind of funny Russia celebrates defeating Hitler when it was the US who supplied Russia w/weapons when Hitler turned on Stalin and invaded Russia. Then, once Stalin liberated Eastern Europe, he decided to occupy the countries himself. So, Russia didn’t liberate Eastern Europe, nor did Russia ever reimburse the US for saving ur butts w/the lend lease program. In addition, the only reason Stalin joined the UK and US to defeat Hitler was bc Stalin had no choice unless he was going to let Hitler take Russia. Let’s never forget he war began w/Hitler and Stalin deciding they’d invade Poland and split the country. Stalin was no better than Hitler. Stalin was crushed when Hitler betrayed him. I guess Stalin had not yet learned u can never trust an autocrat who lacks morals and believes only 1 man can be king. Putin invaded Ukraine bc they turned toward Western democracy. A more successful Ukraine and an improvement in the lives of Ukrainians is a threat to Putin’s power bc he doesn’t want the Russian ppl to know their lives too could be much better if they turned toward Western democracy and cut out the massive corruption in the Russian government. Every country who meets the qualifications and is voted in by all NATO members can join NATO. Russia nor any other non-NATO country has any say in the matter. Russia needs to stop meddling in democratic country’s elections and stealing land, money, intellectual property, etc from other countries. No other country tries is involved in every other country the way Russia is. We didn’t elect a sociopathic murderer and criminal. The Russian ppl did. Russia and the European countries are natural trading partners. Russia exports cheap natural gas, oil and raw materials to Europe. Europe exports finished goods and high technology products to Russia. This trading relationship is the best guarantee to peace and stability in both Europe and Russia. Bremer's imbecile analysis is unable to address this simple fact. There is NO security arrangement for Europe that does not include Russia. If you want a secure, free Europe then Russia has to be part of the negotiations. The idea that Europe will simply surround Russia with NATO armies and then be secure is laughable. Bremer is the clown peddling these absurdities.

Ukraine didn’t meet the qualifications. Putin has done everything he can to maintain pro-Russia corrupt Ukrainians. Russia installed a pro-Russia president in 2010. The Ukraine revolution of 2014 overthrew the corrupt president who ran to Russia for protection. In response Russia annexed Crimea and started the military fighting in Eastern Ukraine. They’ve been trying to reduce the corruption as they turn toward Western democracy. This is what Russia wants to prevent. Bc a more successful Western democracy in a country where many families live in Russia and Ukraine could make the Russian ppl want to get rid of Putin and turn toward Western democracy, which Putin doesn’t want. As long as Ukraine is at war, to any degree, they won’t be accepted into NATO, furthermore, they need to rid their country of the corrupt pro-Russian Ukrainians. Not sure what u know about the situation but it doesn’t sound like much. Have no clue what u mean by poor defenseless Finland. Finland and Sweden both have great militaries. They may not be as large as the US but their skills r on par w/the rest of NATO. They r both assets for NATO. U sound like a Russian troll trying to stir up crap w/ur disinformation but it won’t work. U just make urself look uneducated. If u think Finland is so poor and defenseless, why isn’t Russia following through on their threats? I’m pretty sure now though, the pro-Russian Ukrainians will only be found in the Russian controlled regions where they r filled w/Russian propaganda and independent media is blocked. There’s only one reason a government needs to block all independent media, it’s bc that government wants control of the narrative to con their own ppl. It’s sad to see how so many Russians have no clue what reality is. They’ve been lied to so much for 22yrs, at least. Putin ordered several terrorist attacks on the Russian ppl, killing hundreds, to help himself get elected in 1999. He has manufactured other events to justify stripping the ppl of the rights and freedoms they had. When u elect a murderer, the killing doesn’t stop, he just gets to use the power of the office to continue his rampage of death. Look at how many young Russian military men he has killed to maintain his power, something like 25,000, many who’s bodies have been left in Ukraine. Ukraine has stored them in refrigerated containers. They’ve been trying to ID the bodies and call the next of kin to return the bodies to their families. It’s disgusting that the Russian military just left their brothers in the streets of Ukraine. Perhaps that’s one way Putin plans to hide some of the dead by simply saying they r MIA, when they aren’t. That’s what I get when u elect a sociopath who views the lives of his ppl as dispensable. I hope the Russian ppl learn autocrats or strongmen r insecure sociopaths, that’s why Putin kills or jails on trumped up charges any opponent who may actually have a shot of getting elected. Putin has robbed the Russians blind. The Russian ppl deserve a much better country than what they’ve had under Putin, Stalin, etc. I hope when they get a chance to make a change they choose someone on the left, someone who will crack down on the corruption, who will stop starting stupid wars, will invest in Russia instead of pocketing most of the $, stop interfering in democratic elections, stop trying to stir up conflict and chaos in democratic countries, stop poisoning, shooting, pushing former Russians and citizens of democratic countries out of windows, etc, stop hacking, stop shutting down our companies, hospitals, schools, governments, etc for ransomware, stop stealing intellectual property (like stealing UK’s Covid vaccine), stop conning migrants to travel to the U.S. and EU borders, stop getting in involved in Africa, Syria, Ukraine, Afghanistan, etc attacking civilians and causing mass migration problems, etc. Russia does nothing but deliver evil around the world for the West to clean up bc lord knows Russia nor any other autocratic country cleans up the mess they create. If ur in Russia, I’d be very concerned of karma coming back to u bc the world will never forget what Putin and many of his criminals have done, as well as all the Russian ppl who have supported these atrocities. There’s a reason why the world thinks ill of Russia.

A larger plot and the biggest lie throughout history, was the story of the crucifixion of Christ Jesus the son of Mary (peace be upon them), then the Liars distorted the Bible and the Torah to cover the lie, but could not one of them that turn aside or alter one character from the Holy Qur’an, because Allah Has promised that preserves and protects the Holy Qur’an to the day of Resurrection, as it is the Last message from Allah to His servants and creatures. (4-148) Allah loveth not the utterance of harsh speech save by one who hath been wronged. Allah is ever Hearer, Knower. [4:149] If ye do good openly or keep it secret, or forgive evil, lo! Allah is ever Forgiving, Powerful. [4:150] 004.150 Lo! those who disbelieve in Allah and His messengers, and seek to make distinction between Allah and His messengers, and say: We believe in some and disbelieve in others, and seek to choose a way in between; [4:151] Such are disbelievers in truth; and for disbelievers We prepare a shameful doom. [4:152] But those who believe in Allah and His messengers and make no distinction between any of them, unto them Allah will give their wages; and Allah was ever Forgiving, Merciful. [4:153] The people of the Scripture ask of thee that thou shouldst cause an (actual) Book to descend upon them from heaven. They asked a greater thing of Moses aforetime, for they said: Show us Allah plainly. The storm of lightning seized them for their wickedness. Then (even) after that) they chose the calf (for worship) after clear proofs (of Allah’s Sovereignty) had come unto them. And We forgave them that! And We bestowed on Moses evident authority. [4:154] And We caused the Mount to tower above them at (the taking of) their covenant: and We bade them: Enter the gate, prostrate! and We bode them: Transgress not the Sabbath! and We took from them a firm covenant. [4:155] Then because of their breaking of their covenant, and their disbelieving in the revelations of Allah, and their slaying of the prophets wrongfully, and their saying: Our hearts are hardened - Nay, but Allah set a seal upon them for their disbelief, so that they believe not save a few - [4:156] And because of their disbelief and of their speaking against Mary a tremendous calumny; [4:157] And because of their saying: We slew the Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, Allah’s messenger - they slew him not nor crucified him, but it appeared so unto them; and lo! those who disagree concerning it are in doubt thereof; they have no knowledge thereof save pursuit of a conjecture; they slew him not for certain. [4:158] But Allah took him up unto Himself. Allah was ever Mighty, Wise. [4:159] There is not one of the People of the Scripture but will believe in him before his death, and on the Day of Resurrection he will be a witness against them. [4:163] Lo! We inspire thee as We inspired Noah and the prophets after him, as We inspired Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac and Jacob and the tribes, and Jesus and Job and Jonah and Aaron and Solomon, and as We imparted unto David the Psalms; [4:164] And messengers We have mentioned unto thee before and messengers We have not mentioned unto thee; and Allah spake directly unto Moses; [4:165] Messengers of good cheer and of warning, in order that mankind might have no argument against Allah after the messengers. Allah was ever Mighty, Wise. [4:166] But Allah (Himself) testifieth concerning that which He hath revealeth unto thee; in His knowledge hath He revealed it; and the angels also testify. And Allah is sufficient Witness. [4:167] Lo! those who disbelieve and hinder (others) from the way of Allah, they verily have wandered far astray. [4:168] Lo! those who disbelieve and deal in wrong, Allah will never forgive them, neither will He guide them unto a road, [4:169] Except the road of hell, wherein they will abide for ever. And that is ever easy for Allah. [4:170] O mankind! The messenger hath come unto you with the Truth from your Lord. Therefor believe; (it is) better for you. But if ye disbelieve, still, lo! unto Allah belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth. Allah is ever Knower, Wise. [4:171] O People of the Scripture! Do not exaggerate in your religion nor utter aught concerning Allah save the truth. The Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, was only a messenger of Allah, and His word which He conveyed unto Mary, and a spirit from Him. So believe in Allah and His messengers, and say not "Three" - Cease! (it is) better for you! - Allah is only One God. Far is it removed from His Transcendent Majesty that He should have a son. His is all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. And Allah is sufficient as Defender. [4:172] The Messiah will never scorn to be a slave unto Allah, nor will the favoured angels. Whoso scorneth His service and is proud, all such will He assemble unto Him; [4:173] Then, as for those who believed and did good works, unto them will He pay their wages in full, adding unto them of His bounty; and as for those who were scornful and proud, them will He punish with a painful doom. And they will not find for them, against Allah, any protecting friend or helper. [4:174] O mankind! Now hath a proof from your Lord come unto you, and We have sent down unto you a clear light; [4:175] As for those who believe in Allah, and hold fast unto Him, them He will cause to enter into His mercy and grace, and will guide them unto Him by a straight road. [24:39] As for those who disbelieve, their deeds are as a mirage in a desert. The thirsty one supposeth it to be water till he cometh unto it and findeth it naught, and findeth, in the place thereof, Allah Who payeth him his due; and Allah is swift at reckoning. [24:40] Or as darkness on a vast, abysmal sea. There covereth him a wave, above which is a wave, above which is a cloud. Layer upon layer of darkness. When he holdeth out his hand he scarce can see it. And he for whom Allah hath not appointed light, for him there is no light. [24:41] Hast thou not seen that Allah, He it is Whom all who are in the heavens and the earth praise, and the birds in their flight ? Of each He knoweth verily the worship and the praise; and Allah is Aware of what they do. --------------------------------------------------------- Allah is the light of the heavens and the earth. There is no god but He, The Mighty, The Wise. He does not resemble anyone of His creation. He created the angels from light. He created the heavens and the earth from smoke. He created animals and plants from water. He created the jinn from fire. He created Adam from dust. He created Eve from Adam’s rib. He created Jesus, the son of Mary, from a word He sent with Gabriel, peace be upon him, to the Virgin Mary, He created a serpent (a snake) from the staff of Moses, and with the same stick He split the sea into two parts, (each of them is like a great mountain), He created a female camel out of rock, He creates whatever He wills while He is upon Everything is powerful. He revived the dead of a village (350 thousand) by one pray of one Prophet of the Children of Israel his Name is Ezekiel. He revived some of the dead by one pray of Jesus and a other one by one pray of Moses. He made the prophets speak to the dead. Allah Almighty says to something Be, and it is.---
