Not about this brand, but I have been using Dashing Diva mail strips for years! A few weeks back they launched a program that was basically an ✨mlm ✨ but they didn’t call it that. Consumers LOST IT and were so disappointed with the decision. A few weeks after the initial announcement, they finally came back and said they DISSOLVED the new program explaining that they value their costumer more than anything else. I share because it was a huge win! Thank you for sharing the negative side of these mlm companies and bringing light to the challenges and hard ships it can cause. I appreciate your content so much!

Unfortunately I have a friend that is deep into this MLM. It’s so sad to watch her, but - as an individual that has been on Lexapro for years - it’s also infuriating. I avoid her mostly now, but she did message me once claiming that her products might “help me get off the script” and I was enraged. I’m fortunate to have insurance, and my pills are $9 for a 90 day supply, and they have made life changing improvements to the way I function! Why in the world would she try to convince someone to PAY $200 a month for some crappy supplements that will most likely NOT WORK? The fact that my poor sweet friend is preying on people with these vulnerabilities is infuriating. This has 1 million percent negatively impacted our 20 year friendship:-(

I am so sorry. I'm also on medication for mental health that has ABSOLUTELY made life-changing differences for me, and I'm beyond grateful for it. Any suggestion from someone (and they're never mental health professionals) that I need to get off my meds gets me so heated. And to think these reps are out there, with no health care education, with the ultimate goal of making money instead of 'do no harm.' It's just vile. I hope your friend eventually sees the light...maybe she'll see this video and Hannah's lovely nature will prevail.

With no insurance at the time it was like a god send. They also helped me get on Medicare so I don't have to worrying about paying for doctor's visits anymore. For real! My meds cost me $5 per prescription (for the ones my insurance covers). My insurance doesn't cover the meds I really would prefer for my ADHD, but what I do take is better than any supplement I could take. I want the long acting form of my meds that is also harder to abuse, but insurance will only approve to pay for me to take two shorter acting forms of the medicine (two different doses, taking one of each per day), and this form is very common for abuse and makes me uncomfortable having it on me or having anyone know I take it because I need it and don't want to deal with it potentially being stolen or having someone offer to buy it. But again, what I have is much better than vitamins or supplements or anything I can access without a prescription, and it's cheaper too, since it costs me $10 per month total.

There's a global shortage of ADHD medication at the moment, we're talking rationing drugs and saving correct dosages for only the most desperate days. I won't lie, I can see this appealing to desperate people who have suddenly found themselves in an impossible situation, and I hate that. Some psychiatric medications have issues or interact adversely with certain vitamins and supplements, the entire thing is inherently unsafe. Absurd.

I'm in the UK so we're dealing with pharmacists most of the time, and I feel awful because between three identical brands they genuinely can't find any. I work in a laboratory and the "scientific" words they used are LITERALLY FILLER LMAO.... to define them super simply.... the "scientific method" is just the process of idea to test to result, back to another idea. "Liquid Chromatography" is used to identify unknown liquids by having it separate on a strip in liquid. "Mass spectrometry" is just vibrating the molecules to identify what bonds are in it, again to identify what it is. So literally jibberish in terms of quality 😂

The hormone pack makes me think of the pill my dermatologist just gave me. She saw me for this really bad acne I have, took one look, and was like "ah yes, this is hormonal" and prescribed me a (normally) blood pressure medication. It'll help even out my hormones because of perimenopause. So far, I am feeling a bit better, mentally, because my hormones aren't fighting me as much, and it's still new but my face is starting to clear. The fun thing is, she's a DOCTOR, she told me all the side effects and to make sure to look out for signs of certain things from taking these medications and possible interactions between this new medicine and the other medications I'm already taking. You know, like doctors do.

At first she only sold the products but then she jumped like 3 levels in a month and now all you see on her social media is about the opportunities this company gave her. She earned a trip to Panama and even made a post about “how can network marketing be so bad if everyone is happy.” She has lost weight on the products where she struggled before but still. Now she joined another MLM because it’s “smart business to have multiple avenues of income”

I'm in training to become a mental health professional and the ratio of people to mental healthcare providers is staggering. For reference, the average therapist sees about 25 clients a week -- so if even 1/10 of the 350 people per provider need mental health services, therapists are still going to be overbooked. And that's without thinking about things like insurance, scheduling, medication management, etc. The mental health system in this country is broken, but MLMs are not the way to fix it.

As someone with a traumatic brain injury, I've previously fallen for the brain power supplement things in hopes of finding a way to get back to the way I was before. They don't do anything. The only way you're brain is going to heal and do the things they claim is to work on neuroplasticity, go to a doctor who does that, sleep, etc. An MLM supplement isn't going to do gunk.

Loving all of your videos! Something that's good to know: When talking about "mental health issues" it's important to note that ADHD & Autism don't fall under that umbrella. They're neurodevelopmental disorders, meaning they have to be present in early childhood or before a certain age to be able to be diagnosed. You can't develop ADHD as an adult if you didn't have it as a child. You can however get Depression, PTSD etc. later in life. Also, people with ADHD or Autism may or may not struggle with their mental health. In my case for example I have ADHD and mental health issues. I can overcome and heal my mental health issues through therapy but I can not heal my ADHD.

Not to mention the conflict of interest in funding something where they could easily leave out "inconvenient" data. They rely on people being ignorant to the games being played in academics and "the ministry of science".

27:20 Hannah, what concerns me about the names of these ranks is that “Servant Leader” is a term that is widely used in the Christian faith - especially in Evangelicals/Pentecostal churches . The notion that Christ was the ultimate Servant Leader (ie the leader so humble that he would wash his disciples feet etc) and while it is a wonderful concept and I do not begrudge anyone their faith. This smacks of potential Faith Manipulation - aimed at The most vulnerable people possible. The evangelical church already has a pretty poor track record with their stance on mental health. I will have a look through the rest of their site to see if there is any other language that may be indicative of a faith based connection. Thank you for all the work that you are doing. I love your compassionate and reasoned approach to exposing the manipulative tactics of these predatory schemes.

I’ve recently learned about the MLM through some different creators I follow and I definitely was intrigued, thank goodness I learned more. Their content creators marketing tactics are some of the worst I’ve ever seen. Targeting mothers experiencing postpartum depression or parents experiencing the grief of losing a child. I appreciate your deep dive, it was very informative.

I have zero interest in MLMs and where I live they're actually illegal (I think) and not a big issue. But I wanted to say despite this I just love your videos and I love listening to you. You have such a nice voice and you present these topics in such an engaging manner that I could literally watch your videos for hours. Thank you for your service and I honestly believe you saved dozens of people from making regretable life decisions by now. [Edit:] Also as a health care professional (I am a neuropsychologist and work in a neurological clinic) these health claims are just WILD. Like what the actual hell? If there were any pills or powders that effortlessly treat a myriad of complex issues like they claim, you might think that I of all people would have heard of it. But I haven't. Because they don't exist.

"confidence and weight" as a category... wow... barf. The terrible part of these is that in a lot of cases, in the US, these absurd prices are STILL lower than a prescription doing the same thing. I can see so many people being told "you need to take this prescription," it's too expensive, they look online for cheaper "alternatives" ... the price is through the roof, but prescription med prices are in space...

Yeah as a former linguist, the "ee" ending could not be more cringe and inaccurate. It either reflects the uneducated qualities of the founder(s) or they didn't think the population using their products would be educated enough to properly pronounce it...either is a bit repulsive.

thanks for making this video. a lot of people are going to turn to this out of desperation. in my area, it's not uncommon to have a 6 month waiting period to see a psychiatrist as a new patient. these supplements have the danger of people taking them and then blaming themselves for not "getting better" or feeling any different. that kind of guilt can weigh heavily on an individual and can push some to do things they could regret.

I was scrolling through instagram stories while listening to this, and i came across a story of one of the random people I follow talking about gut health and hormone imbalance and their impact on temper, etc, while preparing a drink. Out of curiosity, I went to her main feed and looked for a website, and found one. Clicked on it, found a button for her gut health drink, clicked on it, and lo and behold, Amare. What a coincidence, lol I had never heard of this MLM company before. Thanks for researching these companies and educating us on them

I used to work in food quality for a pretty major food manufacturer, and while it was customary for a company to have a document outlining their analytical practices, it's only a part of the necessary whole. Sure, those are what they claim to be testing for, but where's the evidence? what are your target specifications? what do you do if something is out of spec? what is your accreditation? who regulates your company? I'm going to guess that most of those questions don't have answers. That sheet is a farce and simply a way to try and look like they're compliant, but anyone with at least a passing knowledge of quality and food safety practices knows that analysis sheet might as well be toilet paper for all the evidence it provides.

I’m feeling like some reps in this company are gonna do that dumb “cures your kid of autism” thing. We know it can’t be cured. I’m autistic and my mom and family had to deal with a lot with me while I was growing. I didn’t find out that I have that until my late 20s. I was diagnosed with a.d.d. and o.c.d. Which autistic people can have both. As we know that reps try to shell this idea to people if they’re in a wellness mlm or trying to make the products seem more like wellness that Autism can be cured or made so mild that it’s like the kid doesn’t have it anymore.

She messaged me saying "i feel like happy juice can really help you, you just need to heal your gut" ive tried everything gut related under the sun and i have cone down to the conclusion that managing my anxiety symptoms with coping methods help way more than some supplements would. I have ptsd from childhood trauma and happy juice wont just make that go away. I am a little hurt that she tried ti pitch this to me as the cure all hoping id be a customer

So sorry you had to put up with her nonsense - it's awful that people who fall for these scams go after their own family! Sadly, MLM reps see us as easy targets since it's so well known that people with depression and anxiety have problems with their digestive system. My first stay at the psychiatric hospital i was asked if I had any issues with my stomach and I was like "uh, yeah, why do you ask?" They had a special diet and offered some meds and stuff too. Also, back and neck pains are a common thing, because we tend to kinda curl into ourselves and are tensed up all the time. Take care, take your meds and ignore the snake oil peddlers!

29:19 When talking about the percentage of members by rank, one way I think about it is that it's not that recruits have a less than half percent "chance" of making a livable wage. I think say that they have a 0.5% "chance" is too generous - it sort of implies that getting to the top is a lottery. The reality is that the half-percent of people making a livable wage are doing it on the backs of the 99.5% other people. I think it's important to emphasize to people trying to join is that it's not just about "hard work" or "chance" - the small numbers at the top are only possible because there are 99.5% other people. The money only flows upward, so as a new recruit, I would picture having to step on the backs of your entire downline, because your downline is also in the compensation plan. Success in an MLM isn't in a vacuum, every person in your upline and downline is somewhere in this compensation plan - and I think realizing just how many people you would have to recruit and exploit just to make a living wage is a much more tangible and realistic picture that helps us understand just how small that 0.5% is.

What’s noteworthy about the price point is that one of the many symptoms of depression, anxiety, etc is impulsiveness. They could easily reduce the costs of these supplements, but it’s apparent that they are preying on people with mental illness’ impulsiveness and willingness to pay that amount of money for help. Really adds another layer of shadiness.
