The Story
"I first heard Amason play the song live, in the summer 2015.
It completely swept my feet and reminded me about my longtime friend Erick, the man in the video, who once told me that he can’t even remember the sensation of love.
As I’m already blessed to live with a person who shows me love, I shortly after the concert called Erick to ask how he was, and if he wanted to tell me more about his solitude? During this call, that went on all night, I came across a study that said that the Yeti (in some civilizations called Bigfoot) is the most loving creature around. Erick could instantly see why, just like him he thought, the Yeti was misunderstood in all its attempts to intimacy. So we decided there and then, me still high on emotions from the tone, to let everything else be and find the Yeti. We traveled for six months and the search took us to Brazil, Sweden and Switzerland. The video shows pieces of the quest, and what other music to complement it, then the tune that started it all?

To me, this is the story of a man on a path of self discovery. Using only the lyrics to draw from, they really resonate with what I have experienced recently. I learnt the hard way that after travelling over 10,000 miles there and back, that love is not simple, and it hurts. I was a fool to think it could work. But this song, the words describe every feeling I felt and still feel. What a beautiful place I visited, what amazing people, just that one person, the one person who I would die for, does not know what love is, and now I scream to myself, ‘I want to know what love is’. I have much to learn, but I have learnt some valuable lessons and life and love. Simply put, it won’t always be easy, if it was to you, kudos to you. Take it from me when I say life can be cruel. What a beautiful song. Take it easy everyone.

I usually hate covers. Artists usually never get it right and end up just trying to imitate the original too much. Which nothing will ever out do the original. But amason did a fantastic job. Didnt go over the top or try too hard. Really put their own twist on it. Even with the vocals she didnt try to hit certain high notes and match the original she truly did it to her vocal style. Fantastic.
