There are a number of those coming out of China today. Many are in the 20-35 dollar range. All very good, decent quality. I bought the Kaiweets model which is essentially identical to that one. I have a number of different multimeters and clamp on amp probes. I bought this one because it has the ability to measure DC amps with the clamp on which can be very useful for checking electrical problems in cars. I also like the fact that all the features needed are in one meter.

I chastize people all the time for not spending 10bucks on a cheap multimeter to test the most basic things with. They could save a lot of time and money if they just did some simple tests with one.

Brian you are right on often the savings from one use can pay for several cheap multitesters.
