Assalaam alaikum, we are a homeschooling family al hamdulillah and are looking for good options to encouraging reading for our young children, for example a beginner reader who is 6 years old. We don't want to encourage too much of a love for fiction and are finding that much of the content we were able to avoid or skip over is much harder once the child is themselves able to read. Does anyone have a good reading list for young elementary school students to either read on their own or be read to. We still read fiction but filter it, but are trying to start encouraging better options as they get older while still keeping it fun and encourage a true love for reading and learning.
