at the end he should have put her back under and moved her into the ambulance where they took the fake version, stuck an oxygen mask on her, laid her down and THEN woke her up so that she then thought she had momentarily died, saw her corpse in the car and then woke up in an ambulance all ok.

It's extraordinary the amount of work that Derren's team does to make some of these possible. This seemed like possibly the most work, although it was largely all towards creating the lifelike replica mask. It's scary how these can be made, although actually it wasn't quite so identical as I expected- purely compared to most of DB's work! Though she clearly fell for it, though much more to do with the feeling of being an invisible spirit they portrayed to her. It does make me wonder though if some of these shows failed and they didn't show them us. I mean it could easily have failed at the start if they couldn't break into her car- how did they just do that anyway?! It did seem like showing off to start the show by tampering with her car, DB doesn't like to take the easy route! I dread to think the master criminal Derren could have become if he had chosen to be! lol

One time I was in the passenger seat with my father, and we saw a woman in the driver's seat doing her makeup, with one hand in a bag in her lap, looking into her car mirror, on a street with a school. No hands on the wheel, not looking at the road... applying freaking makeup! It's insane what some idiots will do.

My ex-boyfriend would always 'ALWAYS' would start taking off his jacket and then a jumper minutes after starting to drive off, forcing me (a non-driver at that time, and always anxious on the road) to take the wheel. The police should pull more 'distracted drivers' off the road for a lot longer than they do, make them take some lessons and resit their tests.

I don't understand this. It wasn't explained properly. At 18:00 she just falls asleep randomly and gets taken out of her car and put in an ambulance then she somehow wakes up right beside the scene of the accident? Can someone explain what happened here?

did you skip through to the end without watching anything else? after she volunteered for the show, and was determined to be hypnotizable, they determined her trick. she regularly doesn't pay much attention while driving, sometimes not even using her hands, so they made her think she got in a car crash and died. they made a double of her by making a fake mask, and put that on a body double. at 18:00, they call her to give her a verbal trigger to sleep before reaching the intersection. then they transport her to the fake accident at the intersection.

Interesting. While the microphone itself is not visible in these shots, what you’re seeing is the RF transmitter bodypack (or at least its antenna) that the lapel mic will be connected to from which its audio is being relayed to a receiver probably connected to a nearby camera. I didn’t notice anything out of the ordinary in those shots at first glance, but I must say, it appears this has been rigged.

These are all AFTER she has had the “accident” though. Even if you’re right, if you saw your dead body in the car and couldn’t move and no one heard you and police and paramedics came, would your first thought be “oh I’ll just check my back to see if Derek rigged a mic on me”?

@@judithwardley your forgetting that the mic is clearly visible in 1 shot and then in the next shot.... seconds later.... its not there. Therefore the only logical conclusions are: the event (or parts of the event) were filmed twice or the mic was removed and put back on in between shots. Both of which suggest she was fully aware of the filming. The fact it was after the accident as you say, supports the idea that they need to record her voice when shes outside the car, since we know the car is rigged with a mic and they can't have a sound guy stood there with a bit boom. Your second point doesn't make sense, you think the a actress should blatantly reveal the mic on camera? Also its Derren not Derek LMFAO. Honestly i love Derren and I've seen him live, this is the ONLY thing I've ever seen which doesn't add up which blows my mind.
