You can upload routes for navigation via GPX file, maps feature is not there on Active. There are apps that use Google Maps on your phone and send turn by turn alerts to it but natively no maps

Can we keep higher brightness always since we dont have auto brightness?

Yes you can, but high brightness is not needed indoors, maybe it would be needed outdoors. High brightness always makes battery life less and you might have to charge often.

Yes, the watch has inbuilt speakers which shows you to take calls, task with Alexa or rings when you use find my watch.
