I have the gtr 4 and I love it. Didn't get 14 days out of it yet. But I did get 10 days and probably could have gone an extra day or so. Love the features it has. Especially the membership card app. Got my top 4 on it and never have to bring out my phone to have the membership barcode to be scanned. It's on the watch and very easy to use.

However, the workout features include an interval training section that utilizes a timer during and between sets. There are so many ways to configure things to your liking on this watch that I’m sure you’d be able to use the timer inside the workouts for your purposes.

Just ordered it! I was conflicted between gtr 4 and trex 2 based on durability but lack of speaker and mic on trex 2 was deal breaker. Not sure how durable the sceen is though. I had to order the nylon strap version because others were unavailable. What's strap size on this as I'm gonna order a replacement strap

It’s 22mm. I ordered a bunch with mine, some colored velcro ones, some rubber ones that look like the nike version loop for the Apple Watch for sport, and a metal one for when I dress nicely. I also got some covers for it and a couple screen protector. The compatibility with straps is very straightforward, most 22mm that can fit any other smartwatch, work with this one.

Double check the body temperature option in the app. As far as I understand, the GTS/GTR 4 line of devices added a skin temperature sensor. The GTS 4 definitely has this sensor and I'd find it strange if the GTR 4 didn't (though they may save this feature for the GTR pro line).

@D R The usefulness of skin temperature depends on a lot of factors. Generally, I don't think this info would be useful currently but in a few years, you could find algorithms that were trained on data sets derived from trackers like this. Whether the data set provided by Amazfit would be complete enough to be helpful for the training of am algorithm is questionable. Essentially, the device would need an ambient temperature sensor along with a sensor deriving data from your skin. With a significant amount of data from both of these types of sensors, an algorithm could be trained to assume your internal body temperatures. Why? The average of this data should be indicative of a healthy individual hovering at around 98.6°F as the bulk of this data is derived from individuals at/near this state/temperature. The app could ask you if you were feeling unwell whenever it seems as though your temperature was outside of the range anticipated by your current activity (i.e. motion data via the accelerometer) level, heart rate and skin temperature when plotted against the ambient temperature sensor's reading. Over time, this data would train the main algorithm as the data set grows. With greater broad spectrum analytical capabilities afforded to the device this way, a "personalized" end of the algorithm would be done on device as your own personal dataset grows. After both ends get done being trained, this data could actually be accurate enough to predict your internal body temperature for diagnostic purposes. A mini app could be created that would ask you to sit calmly for about 5 minutes without anything covering your body (i.e. a blanket or something that would throw off the reading). Once you do this, the accuracy of the reading will be optimized. It is a simple reduction of potential variables and could actually provide statistically relevant data for yourself, over time. You'd begin to be able to trust the data set produced because it will be largely your own (with just the base version of the algorithm being trained via the larger data set) as your data set becomes large and statistically relevant. "Are you feeling unwell?" type prompts would allow for simple answers that would then allow for follow-up questions to be prompted later on. An example being, "your responses and data readings indicated you might be dealing with some illness; is this data accurate?" the next day. If you felt ill, you could generally categorize the illness with a responses like "short term illness: respiratory" for a cold or "short term illness: gastrointestinal" and have that data logged for later use (I'm sure doctors could use this info to help people who end up requiring their expertise). Regardless of whether or not you end up needing to visit a doctor, this data can be very useful for helping to track the spread of disease during critical seasons in areas where exposure becomes an issue. A simple warning like "data in your area indicates a mask is recommended" could start you on your winter morning in a large city near one of the poles just the same as a muggy and humid day in a equatorially-bound metropolis would have an air quality warning notification for you. These reminders and warnings could easily have question-based prompts for ascertaining personal usefulness ratings for these types of metrics, so the triathlete doesn't get daily notifications if the temperature (°F) and humidity (%) are both above 80 but maybe an elderly relative could find such info useful! It'd be very interesting as the device began to understand the user better and integration of this data with your assistant app of choice could make for a compelling wellness coach of sorts!

I have two queries regarding this watch after watching a ton of review videos. 1. HR and Sleep phases seem to be inaccurate. 2. Not sure about Calorie burned!!!!. A typical strength training session of an hour should burn around 120 - 150 calories. I had a noise watch which measured this accurately. My galaxy watch 4 shows that I burned 250 calories in 1 hour and in a 2 hour session it even says that I burned 550 calories which is really impossible. I wanna buy this but if cannot measure calories correctly, there is no point

I ve had a GTR2 New, I liked everything except the slow raise to wake-up of the screen, I decided to change it to a GTR4, I looked in the store, the same, the screen wakes up for ages, when you raise your hand you look at it like an idiot, switching is sensitive/normal, reset to factory or change dial, does not change anything... Great review! I've had my GTR 4 for a few days and like it a lot. Everything works like it should except I'm unable receive or make phone calls. It should be able to, right? You need to go to the bluetooth, click on the setting icon from your watch and mark calls so your watch can answer or make calls. Hope this helps!

Amazfit appears twice on Bluetooth settings on your phone, one for the device itself and the other one for the calls option ant appears as: "amazfit gtr 4-6xxxxx". Last one only appears when you follow the instructions to pair the watch for the call receiving mode on zepp. Hope it helps.

BBEWARE: I've been having the GTR 3 PRO since March 22. A couple of months later I noticed that there was a serious inaccuracy in the HR readings. I'm a cyclist and I do about 70 km of cycling every week. I noticed that the watch was sometimes unable to track my HR when riding uphill. My HR reading could be round 130bpm just prior to the climb and at the top of the uphill I could be getting a reading of as low as 54bpm. I don't get that low of a reading not even while sleeping, let alone after having ridden an uphill. Amazfit support was unable to offer any usable, productive tips on that, not even tell me if this problem was isolated to my own device, or a possible firmware bug. I still have the watch to this day and seven months later, the problem has even gotten worse and I now rarely get a correct reading. There are rides that my pulse readings barely exceed 110bpm. I have looked into it all these months trying to figure out what could be the possible cause for the HR inconsistency, from changing settings to rebooting to factory settings and it seemed to have worked... for the firest couple of rides before loosing accuracy again and again. Wasted time actually. So, I finally gave up. Amazfit NO MORE as it is very likely that this serious flaw may have been inherited to the newer models as well!

its why i got gts2e to start and then ill upgrade to one of the newer watches later on. some features on the newer watches are nice but i dont NEED them yet. so far out of the box my watch works well and is gorgeous. i just dont have the money for the latest watches in the galaxy line not yet. Im not sure if i like the os of galaxy on watches as much as i do on amazfit, apple, google etc. Im not crazy about the circular face because im use to old school watches being with out a touch screen. Im weird that way. Otherwise id love to try the gw4

i havent heard of anyone anywhere complaining about the crown breaking. I just thought because its a budget brand, a crown might not be as sturdy. Id get amazfit. its great for people like me. i dont currently have iphone or samsung. i have an old samsung note 20 but its my secondary phone

honestly im a casual smart watch user..i.e., i dont use all the features. I got the galaxy classic watch 4 with the z4 fold since it was discounted, and i used it for a week before letting it collect dust. Now, a year later i got the GTR 4 and it blows the galaxy classic watch 4 out of the water. No comparison at all at least for casual usage.

Sleep is not accurately tracked on this smartwatch I can sleep 15 hours and it will give me no more than 1.5 hours and it won't record one single minute of REM sleep and I've had this watch over 30 days now
