I just got my Amazfit GTS a couple of days ago. I already did two runs. I'm happy with my purchase. Good fitness tracker/smart watch at an affordable price.

Accurate GPS and heart rate so far? I’ll be going outside for a run today, so I’m looking forward to testing it. So far the treadmill accuracy is good after a couple of calibrations.

@@donavonhornbeck GPS takes 10 to 15 sec to connect. GPS Accuracy is good. HR sensor is sometimes spot-on and sometimes +/- 1 to 2 difference compared with my chest strap HR monitor which I used at the same time.

What about SAR radiations. Like snartphones, also smartwatches emit radioations. Taking into consideration that a smartwatch is always stick to the skin, it think is userul to know about SAR, if it's dangerous or not!

While watching a video on KZbin, you can use the music menu on your watch, as if you were listening to your playlist! So you can decrease/increase volume,play,pause and go to previous/next video!

can you watch pictures in jpg. on it, maybe from phone-picturelibrary or maybe it can download to the watch in its memory?

So have u tested the gps? And pls retest the gps of gtr as it has got many firmware updates.

Hi, Thanks for such a great review. I have a question please regarding connecting Amazfit GTS to iPhone if anyone can help. Did anyone experience issues keeping the app running in background? I used to have the Huawei GT2 but whenever I swiped the app up after double clicking home button of my phone, I immediately lose the weather update as the app stop running in the background though the settings are done to continue running. Are you experiencing the same thing with Amazfit app? Thanks for sharing your experience and continue the great work 👍

You may have to let the watch app have location access all the time instead of (while using the app). The weather function on the watch relies on having location access, and if you have it set to "while using the app" it turns off the location access when you leave the app. Just a thought. Hopefully that helps.

Donavon Hornbeck thanks a lot for your reply. I used to have Huawei Health set on “Always” , yet the app was still not running in the background. This is not the case with Garmin Connect as it continue running. I believe it’s more controlled by iOS and differ from 1 third party app to another. This is why I’m trying to find someone who actually have the app and using it. Thanks again and good luck with the great reviews you have.

i have the amazfit t rex and it has no option for receiving notifications without turning on the screen but only give a vibration its quite irritating. does this one have a setting similar to theater mode on apple watch?

I have the Amazfit Stratos, and I am considering the GTS. Is it possible to connect 2 Amazfit watches to the Amazfit app? So I can sync the one I wear, and switch whenever I like. Thanks for replying, cheers!

Unfortunately you can't. You technically could use Mi Fit for one watch and Amazfit for the other, but the Amazfit App only allows you to sync one watch at a time.

@@ToPPSiZE Sorry but .. except big error on my part it is possible to have several watches, connected shoes or bracelet. Besides, when you are in the Amazfit application, in the profile below "My devices" (and therefore the "installed" watch) you can see "+ Add a device". Obviously, it is possible to have several watches (or others) for a single application (Amazfit).

Hello to all who can comment on the vibration strength of the GTS. I have purchased a GTR and was surprised to find that the strength of its alarm vibration is too weak for my needs. You can alter the pattern of the vibration but not the strength. I had a Fitbit Versa which was strong enough to wake me in the mornings. This is an important feature for me, so before I consider trading in the GTS for the GTR, can some of you please comment on the differences (if any) between the vibration strength of the GTS compared to the GTR? Thanks!!!

Hey Donovan. I really like your videos. Mainly the the runners perspective ones. I was wondering as a fellow runner do you consider the first beat features to be important and which ones? I generally base my choices on these. I own pace and watch 2 but fancy the gt2 so hopefully you'll review that. Thanks Donovan

I personally really like the Garmin Firstbeat features. I don’t always pay super close attention to the Training Effect features, but they offer a good guideline for where I’m at in my training. I definitely want to get my hands on the GT2, it looks like a great watch.

Countdown timer default is 1,3,5,10,30 etc. But I do pomodoro for 25. For that each time I have to set 25 instead of a default one set at 25. Can anyone tel me how to add a default one

It does have cardio and freestyle weightlifting it can track. I’m just a runner, so I can’t speak to the accuracy of the other activities it tracks though.

No, unfortunately. It only sends you the notifications you receive on your phone, you cannot answer them directly from the watch

Well, guys this thing is exactly like mi bands,the only difference is that it has bigger screen,you cannot answer calls, answer messages,it even doesn't have any apps, exactly like a band,its a fitness watch only thats cost 5 times more than mi band 5,and the funny thing is that mi band 5 is better in everything that this watch is doing,and doing ALL what amazfit gts does in better way -So why you would buy it? Well because it is Very beautiful,and it has bigger screen from mi band 5 -is worth the Money?No in any ways,you better collect 70$ or € more and buy galaxy watch active 2,it has apps, microphone,speaker,music in it,and other things (In my country from the wep gts cost 90-95€,and galaxy active 2 170-180€). One thing that this has that the Mi Band doesn’t have is built in GPS on the watch. That’s a big deal for most runners/cyclists/etc...
