Nice review again! Curious what the always on display will do with battery life. I think it will be down with 35-45% so that the watch will have a battery life of 8 days in always on mode. Regarding the waterproof feature of the GTS: the BIP Lite is 3ATM waterproof. The BIP lite does not have a gps build in but as you mentioned the build-in gps isn’t that great.

You kinda forgot to mention one of the most important differences. BIP has the always-on display because it has a completely different display type which is transflective. That means it doesn't need backlight in bright areas, and sunlight actually makes it more readable. While the GTS needs backlight and sunlight makes the display way less readable. So the AMOLED is better for notifications and indoor usage and in general as a smart watch, but the Transflective screen is way better for sport activities outside like running or cycling...

The GTS was exactly what I was looking for. Resembles that fruit watch but lasts 10 times as long. Notifications, weather, and music control are all I need from a smart watch. Size is just right, feels like my favorite classic Casio digital.

Keep in mind that Gts have amoled while BIP have transflective display! So for inside amoled look superior but for outside readability transflective display is superior and use also lower energy. I prefer BIP for that reason as i use it for outside activities.

Great comparison. The GTS is waterproof, but, the always on display on the bip is very important. I just wanna be able to see the time once I look into my watch, without having to do anything, simple but important. Great replacement for the Pebble watch!

I just upgraded from Bip to GTR.... I miss using my Bip because of the battery which you mentioned. But the display is really good with GTS and GTR. However, it eats up battery so much if on dial up display for example...

Nice review! I bought a BIP recently to replace a PACE whose battery died after two years of intense use and the only catch I find is that you can't upload activities to strava. Otherwise very happy with the battery life and lightness.

That isn't true, he's actually wrong. Bip with heart rate sensor 24/7 will also last only 14 days and GTS if you turn off the 24/7 heart rate monitor the battery will last the same as 40+ days as Bip.

Idk if u realized, but u can definitely turn on “always active” display with the gts, I personally have it on “smart display” where its always on, but if im not looking at the watch, it’ll still be on but in standby mode

I totally agree with you.. I had mine on Oct 7 and I was playing around with all the functions, plus a lot of watch faces and I still had left 49% at the end of 14th day. I charge it up to 100% on Oct 21st and I have 97% left on today(Oct 26). That's 5 days of medium usage.. I'll keep the same usage and see how far it will go.. According to this rate, it will last a lot more than 45 days as they said. Always on display and the battery life suck me into this watch(build-in GPS is a plus), and I won't be upgrading anytime soon as long as this one ticking..

Actually, in the US we can order direct from China with free shipping, so the price is the same in the United States. in real world use, a dumb Casio watch will serve you a lot better. Most smart watches get dumped pretty soon and you go back to your Casio. The Casios just work, forever, in bright sun light, without the nonsense of having to charge them every other day or every week. Even the cheapest $10 Casio has a 10 year lithium battery life. My atomic synced solar Casio is just always on, always right, and always readable, all the time. No bs bluetooth that is broken, or software updates needed, or time wasted trying to find a decent watch face. Spend your money on a solid LCD Casio with atomic WWV time sync and solar charging (for example, Pro tek / Pathfinder series) and you'll be much happier. The step count isn't very useful on these step count watches. Amoled screens are damn impossible to see even in minimum sunlight which is frustrating as hell. To read the time, you have to find a shadow and press the face of the watch. Try doing that while driving a motorcycle.

Awesome in what way? i have a Blip and it is useless as the heart rate readings are inaccurate. When exercising, especially for the elderly like me, I care more for heart rate accuracy than other fancy stuff. Why have exercise modes when you cannot get an accurate measure of how your heart is performing? After all. exercise is to improve on Cardiovascular Health. Without an accurate measurement, might as well not track the training at all. Unless you are using one just for show and not serious at all about the benefits of exercise.
