Let’s talk numbers: currently in my local stores T-Rex model costs 100 USD, and T-Rex Pro -175 USD. In my opinion it doesn’t make sense to pay almost twice the price for nearly zero significant changes.

It doesn't attach to external heart rate sensor, like a Chest strap, a big mistake, so many sports modes with out accuracy heart sense, I'll keep my old Stratos and still wating for any better.... This function is supported in Pace, Stratos2, Stratos3 and Verge.

U can control volume on T-Rex. Just push the speaker icon on music screen. I'm using it often to control my YT playlists .

Just bought the T-Rex (non Pro) 18 days ago for $109 on Amazon. In my opinion, the differences aren't worth the cost to the average user. If you are very active in outdoor activities, sports, skiing, swimming, etc., then it seems like it might be well worth it. I was really hoping Amazfit would start putting in a speaker so we can get more than a vibration alert for notifications, and most importantly a microphone so we can respond to text messages or make calls through the watch. Til then, I won't be buying another watch.. soon as they add speaker/microphone, I will be one of the first buyers. Mostly because the watch face is crisp clean and bright, and the battery life is out of this world.

Was thinking about getting a gbd h1000 by Casio G-SHOCK but when it came to compare both of them the T. rex pro has more options for work out I’ve heard that the gps is better ect and it’s not like I am going to be tossing the thing around to see how much it could handle so that’s what I’ve went for and it’s half the price

I love him! 😁 Apart from the fact that he actually is passionate about what he's doing, he's funny, exciting and genuinely shows the differences when comparing two devices (unlike other videos that do not succeed in doing this). Please let a guy with this much enthusiasm make decisions about our welfare hahaha The "What are you doing at a 100 ft?" killed me haha 🤣 I've had the T-rex gracing my wrists since it came out and like him, I have to say it is an epic watch on all fronts. I've loved every minute and wouldn't have traded it for any other. Apart from the extra 50 feet of water, barometer and spo2 reader they're identical in functionality. Esthetically the wristband really Pops Out on the Pro, but one has to question if the price tag merits such an immediate upgrade, especially if you enjoy having many colours of the same watch, maybe purchase the T-rex Pro in a different colour with having the option of also using the older T-rex on an ongoing basis as it has almost the same to offer. God bless this KZbinr, he really is energetic, confident, humorous, passionate & great at comparisons. Glad to say I'm a new subscriber and loved the video. So i mean do I really need all those extra modes I mean Id barely go for a walk or a workout..let alone go into the water.. So will the T-Rex 🦖 be Good enough? Iean will I be missing something big? The t rex normal didnt resist water, and even in the manual its says that you should not even take a shower with it. Is the new pro version REALLY water resistant?

It is confusing when you say 50 m or 100 m. A real diving watch will say 200 metres . Not that you'll ever go that deep. That is a static pressure. You slowly take it deep and it will withstand the rated depth. The problem is when you move rapidly like swimming where the water is hitting the seals at a higher pressure. Or like in a shower. So It never hurts to go for the highest rating. Some cheap watches say 50 meters from water. lol.

This watch can't connect to external heart rate monitors can it? Some older Amazfit devices used to be able to but I think they removed that ability. I would scoop one if it could because wrist based heart rate sensors never work well for me.

No, It doesn't, and you're right, optical wrist heart sensors is very inaccurate, even garmin, polar, etc.

Thanks for watching. The only difference in durability is the waterproof rating. My T-Rex watches have survived my Giant Schnauzer puppy, so I'm sure whatever you throw at it will be fine.

@@NewStuffTV1 There’s a Russian guy throwing it out from a building, puts it in a container with water and then in the freezer for 48 hours and freezes it in to a block of ice, beats it out of the ice with an aluminum baseball bat, tapes it to a Soccer ball and plays soccer, throws it around in muddy gravel, pressure washes it with an industrial pressure washer 1 inch from the watch, and puts it in boiling water for 10 seconds….and only 1 scratch! The rest is as good as new!!!

You cannot accept call or respond to messages. The only thing you can do is mute the calls and see the messages. Check out my dedicated video of the T-Rex, I explain all of this there.

@@NewStuffTV1 download an app called Notify for amazfit go to settings and you've option to accept calls, activate (or not) speaker on phone when call is accepted, reject calls with or without msg. This app takes basic Amazfit app and adds more functionality. I love it.
