In this presentation we explore a variety of vintage toy vending machine display cards. They approximately date from the 1950’s into the 1970’s. In coming weeks I will be posting close-up, detailed photos of a number of these after they are removed for display. One item I failed to show was a James Bond 007 hologram “flicker ring” from the 60’s.

I collect these. It's become a mania for me. I'm 68 years old, and I love collecting these little trinkets from my childhood in 1960.

It can be quite an addiction! Where do you find them? I’ve found eBay to be an excellent and consistent source.

yeah i can't remember ever getting anything cool out of those machines. the sticky rubber hands were the most common.

I guess it depends on the era and machine. Wal-Mart had some of the best in around 1985. The first Walmart I remember being in was around then, and next to it was a “National” supermarket. Both had nice toy machines in the entrance breezeway.

Great video!!! I have 10 , 16" huge jars of charms! Been collecting a long time!!! Plus rubber uglies, creepy crawler , plastic minis from hong kong, just love tiny treasures!!! So cool you review this weird stuff i love!!!

I've been looking for that exact miniature troll with hair for a long time I had one exactly like it in '64 or '65. I have the Robby the robot but no spaceship, mini cards, several types of working lighters, glowing lightbulbs, the bible you can look into to read Lord's prayer, flicker rings, rat finks, monster buttons and skulls with working jaws, faces with pop-out eyes, the snake charmer, the church with people inside, mini pocket knives, mini dentures all sorts of fun stuff. This is a cool video, I enjoyed it a lot, my favorites are the working toys, but not exclusively.

The plastic finally shrank on that card to the point I had to remove it. If there was a way I could get it to you, you can have it. Looks like it clips on a pencil maybe.
