While out and about on an evening visit to the market, Yvonne came across this amazing little two year old peeling some carrots, she was fantastic, and peeling them as good as many adults could lol.. We always enjoy our trip to the market, sometimes the fruit and veg we buy here are half the price one can pay in the supermarkets.. Thanks for watching...

My Tilly is a bit pampered really, a bit of a daddy's girl i guess, but as soon as she got home from seeing this little girl here, she wanted to copy this kid and prepare our veg ha ha, "How Sweet" she is growing up so fast now.. Carl, That was a busy little girl! I have seen some young ones in the market, but not that young and working I don't think. I had to hold my breath and hope she didn't slice a finger open! Those jeepneys fill up fast when you get in one! 🤣 Looks like you squeezed in there fairly well though!

Hi Steve, yeah i was a bit worried seeing her with that peeler in her hands.. It's good for kids to learn stuff like this, but i don't think i would of allowed Tilly to do something like this at such a young age, but we do pamper Tilly a bit too much to be honest (Grin) Yeah the Jeepney ride home, well this one was quite spacious for me, sometimes one has to almost crawl in on your hands and knees lol, but hey this is the Philippines, and the Jeepney is a great way to travel around, and it's a big part of the Philippines culture.. Thanks for watching mate...

Nice video Carl, that jeepney looked pretty good and clean not like the heaps here in Manila, yeah the kid was good peeling the vegetables I usually cut myself using them peelers 😳 yeah parking it’s always hard to find a parking spot at the market in pasig city I have a Toyota innova might buy a small car things are getting tight in Manila, have a great weekend go easy on the beer 🍺.
@ABritInThePhilippines
@ABritInThePhilippines 4 жыл бұрын
Hiya Derek, we also have some bad Jeepneys around here, we got on one the other day while on our way to the school, and it had a rather large hole in the floor, and i had to make sure Tilly did not put her foot through it, as the hole seemed very big to me for this Jeepney to still be allowed on the road and carrying passengers.. Yeah parking is a big problem around here, whenever i go into the city like for the school run i never take my Trike, as there is nowhere to park it, and it really is easier just to jump on a Jeepney, but i was out on my Trike last night roaming around, i so much prefer going out in the evening.. Hiya Mark, yeah so young to be preparing dinner lol, what a talented little kid she is, i was so impressed mate.. Yeah we quite often go down to the market in the evening, always a nice atmosphere there, and always plenty of Jeepneys to get home.. I will tell ya how much it is to use the Jeepneys here, well one can go right into the centre of the city from my home, which is about 3 to 4 miles away, and that trip will cost me 7 peso, which in English money is only 11 pence.. They would not even let you on a bus for that price in the UK never mind take you anywhere lol.. Thanks for watching Mark, always nice to hear from you my friend...

thats life in the Philippines, as other countries there are RICH and POOR. so far lot of POVERTY but there are some who are SUPER RICH. talking about this 2 yrs old baby girl, she was trained by her parents to help them on their little business for living. on that situation she is not only one doing it, there are some families like theirs. to survive they must help each other. luckily she is a very diligent and obedient child, thus very responsible at her young age, BRAVA my dear little baby girl, may our dear Lord guides and bless u always..thanks for sharing this REALITY in the Phil. keep it up and God bless and your family. see u

@@ABritInThePhilippines you are welcome, i just wrote my humble opinion about the situation, and as i'd said it's the reality in the Phil.. u know sometimes am thinking that it's better being poor than rich, why, because the poor appreciate much the little/simple things and they are very happy having or attaining them, while the RICH people or above average they take for granted the things they have that the POOR people happy to have them....always complaining...instead the poor ones are struggling much just to have something on the table and some essential things to survive and live on this earth...glad to exchange some ideas with u my friend...see u again, God bless.

Hi Nathan, she was amazing weren't she, but kids in Asia do seem to have a different mindset from kids in the western world, and it's quite common for them to help the family out with tasks from a very young age, my Yvonne used to have to fetch the water when she was a kid, as they did not have water supplies in the houses, they had to collect it from a deep well.. I guess to some kids this would be a sort of playing, kids often watch their parents and they like to copy them, It's all part of the culture here, but i would not have let Tilly do stuff like this at two years old, she would probably cut her fingers off anyway "Ouch" lol.. I voted to leave even though being an Expat it's cost me quite a bit of money with the falling value of the UK pound, but to me it's a price worth paying, and hopefully when we finally do get out of the European union maybe our country can start to rebuild itself and get back some of it's identity we have lost over the years, because to be honest we have been losing more of it ever since we joined, which i think was back in 1972.. i am not a racist in any shape or form, but when you visit parts of England one would think they were in a foreign land, and that's not right, and i believe us being in the union is one of the reasons what has caused so many of our country's problems.. i have a strong saying and that's "Charity Begins At Home" we need to look after our own people before we start to look after others.. I don't think so many people will want to live in the UK when we leave the union, and when they no longer have rights to our benefit system or our NHS or our schools they won't want to come.. End of rant lol.. Thanks for watching my friend...

I think the traffic over there is a free for all, see a space and squeeze through. Nice seeing around where you live Carl I almost spell your name like a girl, oops! Nice one Carl. See you on the next video. Any chance we can see some scenery but don't go out of your way, just if you happen to be in an area. i like the markets there. Your daughter is just a little cutie. She will grow up speaking both languages, is that the norm out there?

I think you are right Bob, it is a bit of a free for all when it comes to parking around here, but my Trike actually takes up more room at parking than a small car does, but i don't use it that often, and as you can see here i was using a Jeepney.. Might upload the Christmas lights that have gone up around here for my next video, not sure you would call that scenery though Bob lol, but it does show the everyday life stuff around here that's going on, and part of the lights i filmed was at Dalipuga, and they were quite nice actually, with many people out and about watching them.. Yeah Tilly will end up speaking three languages, English, Visayan and Tagalog, I'm still struggling with my English lol, but yeah that is the norm to speak all the languages here.. Thanks for watching mate, have a great day there...

@@ABritInThePhilippines That is what I meant, film just what goes on every day and what you normally see every day. You might think people might not be interested, but it might just surprise you. When out and about, take the camera with you. Don't forget the music!

@@BoB4jjjjs I like seeing the everyday videos as well. It gives me a feel for what else is in the Philippines other than our area. We are in the far north and have different things, but still the same Philippines.

The little girl had that, leave me alone I'm trying to work here, look on her face... Who knows, she may have been getting a peso per carrot... How many times have you hit your head on the roof of a jeepney?? I do every time... My girl always grabs me by the shoulder to pull me down a little bit.. I am 6' even... You at 6'4", looked like you had a chore just sitting in there... Take care my friend.. You, and the Clan have a very Merry Christmas...

Yeah she certainly had her mind on the job, don't think she would be getting a peso per carrot though lol, more like 1 peso per 100 (Grin) i would peel them for a peso a carrot.. Yeah i do hit my head quite often on the Jeepneys, but am 6ft 3 not 4, but i see many small people also hitting their heads on the Jeepneys.. Many Jeepneys are way too low and small for public transport use, but i saw on TV these nice electric ones that are being used in Manila, i thought they looked well nice, and not a lot more expensive to use than the old type.. Thanks for watching and commenting Bruce, i do appreciate your support and friendship.. Have a great coming Christmas my good friend, and don't drink too much ha ha...

Oh thought she was fantastic Greg, i didn't even realise at first Yvonne was filming, but when i watched the footage i was amazed how well she was peeling these carrots, what a great little helper.. Hey well done with the Bananas, they are so good for ya, and we have Banana plants growing everywhere here, they are like weeds growing on the side of the road, and i only found out when i came to the Philippines that the Banana comes from a plant and not a tree.. Thanks Greg, have a nice weekend my friend...

Well i can tell ya Bob, the kids here could teach the kids back in the UK a thing or two (smile) Many kids in the UK do nothing to help their parents out, and spend most of their days when not in school sitting on the sofa Gaming lol.. Have a good weekend my friend...

@@ABritInThePhilippines Yes, you got it in one, I have the youngest, well, he is an adult, he wouldn't stretch out his hand to help if I were falling off a cliff. So selfish and self centred as well, if it is not him that is going to benefit from something he will just walk away. Of course his mother does not help, wait till he leaves home, what a shock it will be for him, the oldest already got a shock, but he did move in with a girlfriend for a while, but he was lucky, most everything was done for him. I had to work to get things and help out all the time at home. Even the Grandads of the youngest shake their heads. Have a nice weekend Carl.
