the reason being is that Noelle (and by proxy, Xinyan's) shield has a long cool down. Zhongli's shield can be spammed and provides a Geo battery on field while Diona's, although a frail shield even on hold e skill, can be spammed and has a utility to proc superconduct.

@@skybattler2624 you can add sac bow to diona makes her shield more usefule. With r5 sac bow you have a 99.968% chance of resetting the cooldown if all 5 jellys(?) hit. Noelle and xinyan with sac claymore can't do this.

@@skybattler2624 Noelle also sucks at support. You only use her for the shield, since her ult is basically useless for a support. Xinyan’s shield is really good for support, and I would say even better than Zhongli shield offensively. Problem is that it breaks too easily because Xinyan shield has the worst shield scaling in the game. If you wanted to keep her shield up, you cant face tank everything and do DPS freely unlike Zhongli/Diona shield.

In particular, Noelle helped me clear Floor 12 because those Geovishaps and that geo wave made Diona's shields worthless.

idk, unless you have a high refinement fav bow or are building crit on diona, i would just recommend sac bow. sac bow, while having lower ER than fav bow, allows you to generate twice the amount of cryo particles. this allows you to forgo an ER sands and instead go for HP sands. Sac bow also allows you to choose either HP or healing headpiece, while fav bow kinda requires a crit headpiece. this means a smaller shield/healing. sac bow: 40% chance to activate every hit, for five hits of icy paws, has 92% chance of activation. fav bow: Your CR (let's say 60% CR) x 60% chance to proc at r1 x 5 hits of icy paws have a 89% to activate. This means you would forgo an HP or healing headpiece in exchange for crit, which is almost a dead stat for support diona if not for fav bow's passive. not to mention 60% crit on diona requires a bit more artifact farming and substat optimization because not only are you looking for crit rate on substats, you're also going for ER. if you have a sac bow, just slap hp/hp/hp on her artifacts and you get a ~8400 shield at talent 8. just get even one energy recharge roll (out of the potential 4 or 5) on all of your artifacts. you have a respectable shield, and around 3600 healing per tick on her burst. you get a slightly lower energy generation than if you run fav bow (unless you have another cryo user on the team, in which case sac bow all the way) but you get way better shields and healing. my lvl 80 diona , with a lvl 50 sac bow and 0 artifact feeding/rerolling for better substats, has 175% ER, 23.6k health and around 8.4k shield durability with + 16 artifacts.

When picking between sac bow and fav bow, ask yourself... - Is the 3 seconds shaved off by sac bow worth the energy gains for the entire team? (E hold is 15s CD and shield duration is 12s) - Does your shield "pop" too often? - Do you need more shields? - And some food for thought, Fav bow has far more in built ER thus allowing you to run triple HP Artifacts which means stronger a shield.

Make sure when you use her E to collect the particles before you switch to another character. Also, I would 100% say go with the Sac bow until you are comfortable with her. First of all, Hi XD So in my opinion, I would never play Diona with the Noblesse set cause she don't need necessarily a dmg boost on her burst (which is supposed to heal) in the first point, so only the four-set effect could be useful for the team. But of course it's just my opinion and you can play her with whatever set you want XD Short warning: this comment will be probably longer then necessarily but I try to explain and give examples how you can play Diona: I recommend and also play her with the four Millelith set cause her shield and also her burst is based on her HP and the Millelith set gives a 20% HP boost and the four set effect is, it increases the team atk for few seconds if you activate the elemental skill. The first effect could be also useful if you don't wanna run her with only artifacts with HP main stats if you also wanna focus on cryo dmg/energy recharge or whatever. Dionas elemental skill cooldown isn't that long so you can literally trigger the four effect bonus pretty often and you "always" have a atk boost. So that's why I think this set is a good option instead of full Noblesse. If you still think Noblesse is useful for your team then run that set, it mostly depends on your team charas cause if you also already have a character with a full Noblesse set (for example Bennett) in your team, the effect won't stack so it would be useless and you can prefer to the Millelith set and get more atk on your team. Little long extra: Why someone like Bennett would be ever used in a team with Diona? Well mostly to create melt reactions easily if you don't have Ganyu so if you add another Pyro character and a hydro support in your team, you can deal a lot of vaporize/melt dmg. Example: Yanfei, Bennett, Xingqiu, Diona I'm absolutely sorry for the long comment and it might be useless in the most parts but I wanted to share my opinion so, well XD Have a great day you all!

My recommendation is 2pc Millelith set and 2pc maidens beloved set. The +20% HP is perfect to increase her shield strenght and the 2pc Maidens beloved is the other best 2pc option which increases her healing. So more shield and more healing. Thats all we want. I dont recommend running her energy recharge sand and cryo dmg goblet. Stay away from that its just not worth bcs u wont deal enough dmg anyways. Use HP%/HP%/HP% with energy recharge sub stat on every artifact. As bow, definitely use sacrificial bow. Otherwise use favonious bow. We need a character that gets stronger the more HP it recovers through healing. Kinda like HuTao, but not requiring to stay at low hp, so healing would be most useful while a shield would be harmful, unlike HuTao who benefits from shield while healing decreases her damage. Then Maiden's set might actually have a use of some sort.

I feel like the new character for inazuma, raiden shogun, has given a much needed buff to most characters. I almost never touched my yanfei or my diona, and then when i got Ei, her E made literally anyone viable.

Started levelling her since I got her to C1 from the event and needed a cryo character + another shielder (because you can never have enough shielding even with Noelle and Xinyan)...have her at C3 now but I'm still in artifact hell trying to get an HP goblet. I have an atk one as a placeholder until I get one. Rate my shitty build (AR 55 if that matters to anyone): Desired-Lv 80 at least, Lv 90 bow, Talents at least to 8 with priority being E skill, Burst, then Normal Attack Diona (Lv 70, C3) Talents: 2/6/6 Bow: Sacrificial Bow (Lv 80) Artifacts: Noblesse Oblige (5pc) -Flower: Lv 20 -Plume: Lv 20 -Sands: Lv 20 HP stat (I do have an ER one in reserve to build up and switch to when I get the HP goblet) -Goblet: Lv 20 ATK% stat (placeholder for HP goblet) -Circlet: Lv 20 HP% (might get a Crit Rate one if artifact gods bless me since I still want to do some kind of damage even if she's only geared to support) Total Stats: -Max HP: 19,959 -ATK: 1,515 -DEF: 646 -EM: 16 -Crit Rate/DMG: 14.7%/95.8% (abysmal lol) -ER: 184.3% -Cryo DMG Bonus: 12.0%

I'm not too good at elemental rotation and my dps is meh so I'm very dependant to her and Zhongli's shield. Pretty lucky on pulling her and finally unlocked her to C6. I was able to clear floor 12 before abyss reset.

Actually, if you have xingqiu on your hu tao team, hu tao with 200 EM can deal more reaction dmg than 50% HP. Plus, you also have access to melt, and xingqiu will prevent the reverse melt

Hey Zy0x. So, I started using Harbinger of Dawn (3 star sword) for Albedo, and I have seen other videos showing that if you stack enough Def (which is not that hard) and completely ignore his burst, his transient blossoms can deals 20k-25k per hit. I guess it's worth testing out, don't you think?
