Beautiful, you impressed me. I want to know if you have secured yourself against losing your drone. Did you have a rescue plan? A large area with no landmarks. The value of this drone is quite high. Perfectly calculated battery capacity. Where can you find such a wonderful area for long-distance flights?

Thank you. For potentially loosing my drone, I had GPS coordinates recorded in my DVR and in radio logs. Also drone had buzzer with standalone battery. The terrain is flat, and relatively familiar to me. My rescue plan was, se the last coordinates in DVR or radio log, and go to location XD. The area where I flew is the northern part of my home country of Serbia, which is called Vojvodina. All around you is flat landscape. Boring to fly, but, a high chance of finding the lost drone XD.

In the full DVR video, the LQ stay at 100% and rsidbm goes to -100dbm. Shouldn't the LQ drop also?

Got a couple questions on your 6inch drone. I have a 6inch 6s drone that I use for long range with 6s li-ion 3000mah. How is your battery dropping so slow? Mine drops fast even if I'm going 40-50km/h any reason why that is? How heavy is the drone, and you use a gopro on it or no. I know you ain't using one in this video. I'll record a video today when I fly, and I'll upload it and send the link through this post

What cells do you use in your 6s li-ion (Manufacturer and model)? I accelerated gradually, that's why battery did not sag much. AUW: 860 grams (with battery). No i did not use GoPro on this quad.

Hi Disnator. Great feat with the 10km. I have recently bought the Moz-7 2.4 elrs version,and have been range-testing it a lot. Yesterday i managed to reach 5.5km with it but unfortunately i failesafed at the moment of my turn to return home. The antenna is placed in the front and horizontally. I flew at 500mw with 100hz packet rate. What would you suggest me to do at this point since it seems to be a limiter for me. Should i go to 50hz and 1W power, should i take my antenna away from the front and place it vertically on the front top somehow, or should i go directly to a diversity receiver? I would appreciate if you could give me your lights on the matter. Greetings!

Thank you. I think you don't need 1W if you flaying up to 10KM. Just set 250mw or 500mw, 50hz packet rate, and telemetry set to standard. Move antenna away from vtx, gps and camera. Try to move antenna above quad if you have failsafe.

I theory, you can go at least 10km. It also depends on your antenna setup, how much is there RF pollution in your environment,..etc

I got radiomaster RP1 antenna on my drone and have radiomaster 16s elrs version. Everything is basic. They shipped the tx & antenna with the radio so I used it for my drone. Any suggestions to increase the range. Cause for my vtx I have speedybee tx800 which I'm, running on 800mw and have ev800dm with normal antenna what's your suggestions on this what should I upgrade to have nice range in both? I tried running my radio tx i.e. radiomaster t16s on 150hz like the packet rate should I change it to 50hz? @@disnator

@@devendrahyalij5724 How far you want to go? For long range (let's say 10km from home point), you will be fly smoothly. So, for ELRS you can set 50hz and lower telemetry ratio. And for the ELRS power output, you will need to be @ 250mw or higher. Also, make sure you are not using F mode in ELRS. What antenna do you use for VTX (model, polarization, length )? And also, do you use SMA extension cord? As for EV800DM, in long range scenario, you need to upgrade to 2 high gain patch/helical antenna. I recommend PRO Helical antenna 5 turn 5.8Ghz 10dbi v2 from prodrone.pl. Don't forget that your drone need to be light, and you need quality high capacity Li-ion battery. Or Li-po, but same capacity Li-ion will give you more flight time. And last, get standalone buzzer, get a GPS, setup return to home in Betaflight (test it before you go to conquer the distances), set GPS coordinates in OSD and EdgeTX telemetry, and enable logging in EdgeTX. Don't forget to record DVR.

You probably didn't set something right. TANK II ULTIMATE is a good vtx in my experience. Can cover a much greater distance.
