great video Danny! the telemetry lost voice, at least to me, happens when you have the remote in a signal that is not what has to be. For example in europe we fly 860mhz or so and america/asia 915mhz...if i change countries without changing the remote and binding the drone, it says it over and over ( i didnt have a falisafe though ). Just, it is a possibility

I have one and use it for chasing Offroad racers in high winds. It’s a great drone. It flys like a hot knife through butter. Hey man try to mount your battery further back on the frame. Happy flying.

I got tired of the telemetry lost warnings with my Tango 2 so I deleted the audio files. Trappy from TBS said he did the same, the telemetry is only transmitted at 25mw so it drops out way sooner than the 1Watt that you get from your radio control.

You must have been in the wrong region mode with your tango 2 , using 815 rather then 915 make sure your using the proper region us North America’s mode 😊 my buddy was having the same problem.

What I see is that the 10 inch frame has trouble with vibrations. Not uncommon for those large quads. Much harder to tune and needs a lot of patience to get the HD footage vibrations free. I like my 10 " frame but i don't think it's better than a 7 inche drone.

dont tell me you only flew with the dji controller before? it doesnt even have hall effect gimbals has shitty range and costs almost as much as a good controller :D if you turn your radio antennna 90° you get better range with it btw depending on how the antenna of the receiver is mounted ofc you want them 90° to each other

The telemetry lost is because the receiver broadcasts telemetry at significantly lower wattage than the transmitter transmits, this goes for any rc link and different Crossfire RX's have different telemetry power as well so that's a factor. You also should rotate your Tango 2 antenna 90 deg so it's pointing up and down not left and right.

I flew Flywoo LR 4 inches to 7 km away and back. So, how is your 2 km flight on this 10 inch monster is long-range? I understand that 4 inch drone can't carry any real cameras, but it still doesn't qualify the drone that you reviewed as long-range.

just a little tip as i don't want to see you loosing your Helion don't run ec5 connectors into a xt90 yea sure they fit but not designed to and you have the potential to generate resistance in the plug from improper fitment causing the plug to get that hot it will melt the solder right off the connector. just chop off the ec5 and solder on xt90 not worth the risk man especially on a long range rig

Regarding 'Telemetry Lost' (5:34) I did a video a while back on this if you want to check it out. Its called "CHECK THIS SETTING! TBS Tango 2 Pro". Don't want to spam your video but if you haven't fixed it yet...you might want to check out that video and update the setting. Has to do with the default frequency settings shipped with the Tango 2.

Telemetry lost/recovered is unfortunately a normal thing with crossfire. The receiver has much less power that your tx, so anytime the carbon frame blocks the signal (or other factors) diminishes the receiver signal you’ll lose telemetry. This doesn’t affect your control so no need to worry unless you are depending on the telemetry for some reason. TBS has a receiver with more power to transmit telemetry back, which is good but I wish they would do that with their diversity model.

the telemetry alarm setting within the tango2 is set up wrong. sure the signals goes weaker but the alarm hits to soon. always use crossfire with LSSR in dbm and LQ values in your osd to make sure your connection is not bad.

For 2km range, you could as well continue to fly with chimera 7. I fly regulary 4-5km, one way distance, with Flywoo explorer 4"

I have done 16 mile total distance on 7/8" drones and more. So yeah def. I feel like my 10" so far I feel like doesn't have any noticeably more range or flight time. I have yet to really test it a bunch. Or try bigger batteries . But I feel like hover same throttle and 50% throttle is same speed. Maybe in my head

Telemetry lost, I’m gonna guess it’s prob got the nano se or the nano diversity receiver in it. Look into the nano rx pro. It’s got 500mw of downlink power for air to ground telemetry. The other 2 only have 25mw which is why your getting telemetry lost. Also check your tango settings under the lua script and make sure dynamic power is set to off. Reason being is it’ll cause a little hiccup when it changes from low power up to higher power. I noticed the same issue with mine this past weekend when flying mid range. Also don’t overlook antenna positioning for the tango and on the quad, try an keep them matching. Hope it helps. Thanks for the review!

It's "RX signal low" that you have to worry about. I don't ever sweat "telemetry lost" and never had any issues

These reviews always strike me as a little weak because it doesn't seem like you're assessing these things from a repairability standpoint or from a standpoint of somebody who really knows about building, the software, and so on. It's more like a product review. Which is fine but isn't going to give as much depth as some of the other viewpoints. For instance the Chimera seems really hard to work on

Hi, I have a concern, could you help me? I do not speak English, I will use translator ,,,,,, I have the Helion and a Tango 2 like you, I am not an expert in configurations, just testing the drone, the quality of Rssi that shows the OSD in the glasses is 1:100 and a friend gets 2:100 with Elrs receiver. When I'm a little far away it changes to 0:100 and I get a notification that says: RXLOSS But the control signal itself has the 5 dashes full,,,, What does it mean, that I'm losing control signal. The radio is a Tango 2 at 1w power. I would appreciate your help!!!👍

I have some questions for anyone who’s interested about what remote and goggle combo I need to use for the new Helion I just ordered. Here’s what I have: - DJI FPV Goggles V2 and DJI Remote Control 2 (Came with the DJI FPV Fly More Combo) - DJI Goggles 3 and DJI Remote Control 3 (Avata 2 Fly More Combo) I purchased the Helion 10 with the additional ELRS 2.4 receiver and a Commando 8 Remote Control. I know I can use the DJI Goggles and Remote with the Helion 10 as it has the DJI O3 HD Air unit preinstalled. However, if I use the Commando ELRS remote with the ELRS 2.4 receiver, which goggles are compatible? Can I use the DJI FPV Goggles V2? Or do I need the DJI Goggles 2? Or the DJI Goggles Integra? If I decide I’d rather fly the Helion 10 with the DJI Goggles and Remote, do I need to disconnect the ELRS 2.4 receiver or can I just link the DJI Goggles and Remote to the DJI O3 Air Unit? Thanks in advance for the help! I’ve been struggling with finding the answers.

I know for sure the goggles V2 are O3 compatible. If you use the V3's you might have to use the V3 RC which would require resoldering some wires. I always just fly with the DJI remote

I was told by iFlight I can’t use the Goggles 3 unless they’re paired with the Remote 3. So where I’m still confused is if I use the ELRS 2.4 Ghz Receiver and the Commando 8 Remote, which goggles do I need to use with them? Will the FPV Goggles V2 work? Or do I need to pick up a pair of the Goggles 2 or Goggles integra. I see you’re using the Goggles 2, but not quite sure if they’re compatible with the ELRS receiver and remote.

With Chimera7 pro, I already have plenty of range with 6s5000mah battery. The bottleneck is the vtx range limiting the drone’s reach. Even with O3+directional antenna, I can only get 2.5 miles. I wish the future vtx can extend its range.

I would think for a 1k quad the tune should be good out of the box, were you referring to the tune supplied by Helion was old? Like I've said before - I love the design of this frame. The only thing that baffles me is the inclusion of the very weak and inexpensive ESC. I mean, I consider that too small for a 7-inch... iFlight makes an 80-Amp 4-in-1 that would be far better suited to the higher sustained amp draw.... I just think that a more robust esc is in order esp since there's a good chance that you'll be losing this thing where you can't retrieve it....
