You gave an excellent review of this power device. I have seen many of these used on several channels but none have given such a detailed explanation for their use. Thank you even a person with little or no knowledge of power packs can understand their use now. TY

Very good presentation. Its amazing how much profit these companies can be making for the other 11 months of the year! Not techno or gadget orientated, but always stay on grid, as I like all the creature comforts, guess I would be tempted to keep the money in the back pocket and just take a couple of well deserved breaks away. Keep warm😊

Hi Margaret, thank you very much for watching and leaving a fair and constructive comment. We know that these are not for everyone, but we have also been to a couple of rallies that have been off grid where we really enjoyed the atmosphere of the rally but were very concerned that we would run our batteries down too low. Also we could not watch TV, use a hairdryer or recharge some of our gadgets too easily and this is where this sort of power station comes into it's own we think. In terms of price, it really is an amazing discount that's available, possible in part because reaching the consumer via channels like ours is very cost effective for them but we have also noticed that some companies are offering big discounts too via the 'Black Friday' sales which seem to last weeks now! We love the creature comforts too, especially in the caravan lol. Thanks again for watching and supporting the channel, we really appreciate it. Take care, Helen & Dave

That's a great price for a power solution. I'm into the Ecoflow range at the moment with the River 2 Pro, 160w solar panel and Glacier freezer so I'm sticking with my set up but I'd definitely look at the Aferiy range if not. Great review Dave, normally I'd switch off or even unsubscribe from some annoying, immature and repetitive vloggers but you do it right and I don't mind watching at all, keep up the good work.....next you'll have a few dozen electric bikes to sell :D

Well thank goodness you haven’t unsubscribed. We need you (and your humour 😂👍). I’m not a techno kind of guy so just say it as I see it really. Must say though, the deal on this unit or package looks great and I was genuine impressed with it. Now about the e bikes 🚴 🙈. Let’s just say, we’re gonna need a bigger garage 😂😂👍 enjoy the rest of your weekend. Cheers, Dave 👍

Hi Dave, so using extension sockets doesn't drain it? Surely charging multiple devices off an extention multi socket lead, as well as using the other charge ports will run the battery down quick? As most multi charge sockets pull more than 3000w to work, how can the wattage on the power station remain so low?! Doesn't make sense to me... Mine is arriving today, so looking for as many energy efficient devices for it as possible.
@HelenandDave Жыл бұрын
Hi thanks for watching. The power used is only as much as the device you’re plugging in. 2 x 40w lamps will only draw 80watts max. The phones, laptops and similar devices only draw a few watts each even the average modern TV draws very little power. An 800w microwave draws 800w of power so that could be plugged into the power station. If you start plugging big items in then the power station will obviously drain quicker. We only want it for charging up phones or watching TV off grid/lights etc and the power station is ideal for us. No problem with extension sockets just don’t plug big devices in as described above 👍Good luck and thanks again, Dave

@@HelenandDaveHi Dave, thanks for the reply and info. I'm aiming to use low wattage devices that sit under or at least near the 800w threshold. That should be fine then shouldn't it. There's a 700w pressure cooker I'm looking at getting which sits nicely within that range. I presume it'll be power intensive for the power station, but if I manage it all evenly I think it'll be not much different than having a 2000w power station that's used casually without wattage caution.

Have you ever plugged into the side of the caravan as if you were on site electric. You could of course switch off charging the caravans own leisure battery by flipping off the fuse? Be good to hear from you

Funnily enough we’re going to try exactly that when we’re at an off grid rally in July. Great tip on flipping the charger fuse, hadn’t thought of that. Will feature this in a video later. Cheers, Helen & Dave

Hi Dave & Helen. Fantastic video as always, really enjoy watching your channel. As relative newbie’s we would love to see you give some advice on ‘winterising’ your caravan if you are not going to use it for a few months. Avoiding burst pipes, damp and looking after the battery etc. if you get the chance and feel so inclined we love to get some tips. Thanks Jules.

🎉Hi Dave thanks for review. We have been thinking of buying an Ecoflow Delta 2 just for running the microwave and low wattage kettle but this looks like a cheaper option. The microwave is 800 watt so that would be the most draw on the unit. Any thoughts?

Thanks for watching, I’m no power bank expert but have to say I was surprised by the AFERIY. I did watch a few other reviews on this one first and it seems it has a smart way of handling devices with a larger load. The hairdryer I tested was well over 800 watts. Do a bit more research but for the price, I think this will take some beating 👍 Cheers, Dave

will it work a 700 w microwave ? thanks
@HelenandDave6 ай бұрын
I’m no expert but I’ve read this online which should give you an idea. ‘To calculate the wattage required, you can multiply the wattage rating of your microwave oven by 1.5. So, for example, if your microwave oven has a wattage rating of 1000 watts, you'll need a generator that can produce at least 1500 watts’
