In your experience, does it matter if you transmit hdmi vs sdi for focus pulling? I am going to be shooting a film with my fx30 and I am trying to decide if i want to pull focus myself or have someone else do it.

Why do you have to set the output of the camera to 1080P to use the Monitor as a monitor/transmitter? The transmitters and receivers are 4K but the monitors are not???

Hey so im seeing nobody do this and now its making question if its a good idea, I'm running a smallhd monitor on my fx6, I have SDI going from camera to the smallhd. from the smallhd I have another SDI cable going to the transmitter which I then use the monitor that came with the kit as the directors monitor which is somewhere on set or in clients or my hands.

That seems like a reasonable setup to me. I normally loop out of my monitor to a transmitter with HDMI or SDI. This Hollyland monitor just has wireless built in so I don't need that. The other monitor you're using for directors monitor--which one is that and where is it?

@@chadwin So I bought the kit that came with the transmitter and receiver and then also the 7inch monitor. I like the SmallHD better so that's whats on my FX6 not the holly land one that came with the kit. So I have the SDI from camera to the Smallhd and then the SDI out from the smallHD goes to the transmitter which is sending the signal to the Holland, like a directors monitor but smaller. If that makes sense.

@@PNWMOTIONmakes sense, but since the FX6 has HDMI also why not run HDMI out of camera into the Pyro S?

Great video, sorry if this is a dumb question but do I need to buy the monitor separate from the receiver/transmitter? Or are they bundled together?

Question for you - what type of anti-twist do the side and bottom 1/4 20s have? Is it ARRI locating or the narrower SmallHD-style? Wondering what type of monitor mount and NATO rails I need to get. Thanks!
