How many of these are conversion kicks and how many are penalties?
@honephillips38403 жыл бұрын
I seem to remember Don Clark of NZ (1950s) was responsible for a number of close wins. I remember there was one game where all NZ's point came from his boot.

Francois Steyn is the most powerful boot in the world. The man is a beast behind his kicks.

Isn’t it called penalty kicks, conversions are kicks after a try
@zacharystone88173 жыл бұрын
some of them are conversions some are penalty kicks. They should say goal kicks which covers both of them

What about handre pollard in 2019 against Wales?
@JTM18093 жыл бұрын
Yep, that was a MotM performance for good reason. Made the crucial break one phase before the de Allende try, and slotted all his kicks. I like many rugby players, but if I could only pick one favorite player, it'd be Pollard. He's a classical complete 10. Doesn't have a weakness.
@xdlukas3 жыл бұрын
@@JTM1809 not to mention great physicality wich is rare for a ten and turns him from an all rounder to arguably the best ten in the world when playing with the springboks
@JTM18093 жыл бұрын
@@xdlukas That's exactly what I meant by the complete 10. Many great 10s lack size. Pollard is nearly 100kg, perfectly capable of playing a line-crashing 12 (and he loves to do that). He just ticks all the boxes: great pass, great boot, great game management, distribution, aerial play, nerves of steel, winner mentality. And then he brings the size on top of all that.

Even before this, as it happened in fact, when Frans Steyn got injured that lost us that Australia quarterfinal. Agreed? I mean that entire game was so frustrating not getting any penalties within 50m. Even Lambie tried a dropgoal but he had no power therefore no accuracy.

bra if we had Frans Steyn; can't remember if he was in the team last year, but I'll assume he retired after 2019; I'd bring on Frans Steyn along with Manie then I wouldn't mind having a half that can't put them over... I remember being in high school watching a trinations game and Frans Steyn caught the ball from a clearance from behind the halfway line, and I'm not lying to you, he took a GLANCE at the posts and dropped that thing from like 60meters out right next to the touch line. you can look it up, it was springboks against ABs or Wallabies. Who remembers that?
