I think it could survive if the parents will feed it. The eaglet seemed to like this new snuggle sibling, but then was the eaglet sitting on it to keep it warm or to smother it? I don’t think anybody’s read my comment, and I’m no expert, but I do observe birds and have my whole life. The feeding styles of crows and small birds versus raptors are entirely different. Crows and small birds are triggered to feed their young by the wide-open mouth and the chirping of their young. They shove food down into the crop of their babies. Eaglets snatch the food from their parent’s beak... these Baldeagle parents simply will not put food down into the open mouth of the baby row. The baby crow will not peck out the food the eagle offers it, either. It still hasn’t stop me from praying that I am wrong, because I love a happy ending, and want them all to live!
@Fadedecho14 жыл бұрын
@@carolynnunes3922 hi Carolyn I was wondering that too. And it is absolutely different styles of feeding. I don't think this baby crow will survive unless somehow the parents can get to it. Maybe if the eagles go to hunt?? So sad. I pray as well. Tc. ❣

@carolynnunes39224 жыл бұрын
Hi there Shelley. I know that the feeding styles of eagles and crows are entirely different. Eaglets snatch food from their parents beak, whereas birds such as crows and finches and small birds have babies that hold their beaks wide open, which is a trigger for their parents to shove food down their throat’s and into the crop. Personally, I have prayed to our heavenly Father that this will have a wonderful outcome, and that the baby crow (or raven) be raised successfully, and fly away and live it’s life, but I fear that that is not to be. But as a romantic, I want this to have a happy ending, and that baby crow lives!

We don't know if the eagles will feed the baby crow. There is no documented case studies that a crow has ever been raised in an eagle nest before. David Hancock Biologist and wildlife specialist said that it is possible for the baby crow to survive if fed, but we just saw a feeding of the eaglet and the baby crow was not offered any food. The eagle parent then offered shade for the crow afterwards. I would like to believe that this little one can survive but the odds are stacked against it.
