Amazing Backyard Transformation - Building a Privacy Fence Ep1

In this story, we will show the improvement of our yard.
Here we started the construction of a new creative fence, not like everyone else. We bought and prepared all the building materials, cleared the working area, and along the way we make useful devices.

I once had to cut some 12 foot Boards down to 123 Inches for Wall Panelling. I had a 10 foot Tape Measure (120 Inches). I measured My Template Board at 10 foot then added the extra 3 inches, marked and cut. Then using My Template Board I cut all My other Boards. My Mate did the same thing. When We began hanging the Boards on the Wall it became clear Mine were shorter than his. I had added 3 Centimetres not 3 Inches. Our Boards in alternating sequence hung on that wall for over 20 years. With the Gap at the bottom it was intended to cover the mistake with a Skirting Board, but We never did and simply referenced the Gap as a Deliberate Architectural Feature.

2 most important things. 1.) The wood will drink water up through the earth if the bottom of the wood touches the dirt. The Bottom of everyone of those planks should have either been painted to had aluminum foil around it, water tight. 2.) The same is true for the tops of the exposed surface of those planks. Water will be absorbed right down through the grains and rot the wood down through the grain, to the ground.
