This was a really interesting video but I wish that the original soundtrack had been used instead of the music. Even when it is language that I cannot understand I still prefer to hear what is being said (and all the associated ambient background noise) with subtitles. It adds so much more to the eenjoyment.

By using advanced farming techniques and processing methods, we can ensure that bamboo is harvested in a way that is both environmentally friendly and economically beneficial. It's exciting to see how these advancements in bamboo farming and product processing are making a positive impact on our planet and improving the lives of people around the world....

in Indonesia, bamboo grows wild in various types of forests and is widely used by the community for various needs. all parts of the bamboo can be used including the shoots for consumption. This broadcast provides inspiration and education for us in cultivating bamboo, which is starting to decrease in line with the reduction of the existing forest area (deforestation). thank you

Saat saya menanam 1 hA bambu betung dan Hamiltoni di lahan kami di Jawa, saya hanya berpikir untuk konservasi air dan membantu mengurangi pemanasan global saja. What you say is probably true for Canada, too. Bamboo seems to be able to withstand the winter, so countries should really look into it.

I would highly advice against growing bamboo large scale anywhere where it is not native. It's a grass, it behaves as such. It can become highly invasive. In restricted areas, however (where there is no chance of roots getting out of that area) it could be quite useful

@Dark Cloud first off, i‘m not american. Once you plant bamboo, it stays in that area as long as there is a tiny bit of root left. If you don‘t restrict it (by digging a trench for example) it will spread. There is no species in northern america that benefits of bamboo, other than the human, so ecologically it can only be a downside. I have seen eucalyptus forests where there should be bay-forests, bamboo fields where nothing else growed (and our eco community were literally the only people who harvested parts of them once in a while for construction projects) and invasive cats driving unique-to-this-island lizards towards extinction. Sure, bamboo is unique and cool and all of that, but i‘m sure you never even thought of using fast growing native plants. Where i‘m from, flexible willow or hazel branches were a necessary and fast growing building material. They were used for all kinds of things, at least as useful as bamboo. Baskets, fences, walls... Nowadays noone uses them for anything.

@Dark Cloud that‘s the most american approach to getting rid of rhizomes i have ever heard, and it fits the stereotype. Maybe try napalm as well, might work better than the machine thing. I‘m just saying it is ,ecologically, a very stupid idea. It wouldn‘t be the first time a species turns into an invasive one (although bamboo is a blessing in this regard because they hardly reproduce by seed). I have seen it causing issues, there are other reports of it causing issues, big ass machinery ain‘t gonna solve the issues because you can‘t possible get out all if the rhizomes with any machine. I mean, you guys are literally using machine guns and choppers to get rid of hogs, and it doesn‘t work
