The fig and raisin processing footages are from my country, Türkiye. 🙂 Türkiye ranks first in the production of both raisin and (dried) fig. The main producer of dried fig and raisin is TARİŞ, Türkiye's biggest producers cooperative with more than 75,000 member farmers. -In 2020, world production of raw figs was 1.26 million tonnes, led by Turkey (with 25% of the world total), Egypt, Morocco, and Algeria as the largest producers collectively accounting for 62% of the total. -Global production of raisins in 2020-21 was 1.2 million tonnes, led by Turkey, the United States, Iran, and India as the largest producers.

Orcas are dying because there isn't enough tooth fish anymore- their main food source. They have to eat smaller fish, expand too much energy to hunt them and die. Greediness of human race astonishes me. We have so many food sources yet still want more options no matter what it does to the planet and natural environment ...

They have forgotten their Buddhist traditions so thoroughly. This nation is gathering for itself such a mountain of bad karma. Even more than western nations. Quite terrifying.

Great idea I would like to see more historical foods make a comeback, Game in my country is big bussiness and great for the economy, I'd personally like to see more duck, goose, pheasant, dove, rabbit, squirrel, and feral hog on our menus.

God gave man dominion over the animals, so basically we are the caretakers! Most of these so called animal rights people don't know a thing about how the world works but they will blog and vlog about cruelty and then go home and take their leather shoes off and eat a McDonalds, A lot of the animal groups like Peta have their roots in Satanism just like femenism does!! And it's not just for fur I bet they use the whole animal, the Fur will be used for fashion the meat for pet food and the bones will be used in farming as bonemeal to grow some lovely veggies etc, for all the vegitarians and vegans obviously lol

for a moment I thought this video might be about retsina ( a Greek white (or rosé) resinated wine, which has been made for at least 2,000 years. Its unique flavor is said to have originated from the practice of sealing wine vessels, particularly amphorae, with Aleppo pine resin in ancient times.

I wonder how they actually survive as a business. If 1kg goes for around $70, and each deer produces an average of 4-6, the deer are worth approximately $350 a year on average. Between feeding, medicating, supervising, herding, processing, transport, book keeping, sales, marketing, legal and all the other work involved yearly, it seems like it would have fairly slim profit margins. That, and it looks absolutely horrific. I wonder if it hurts (Outside of, you know, getting manhandled and having a boot on the back of their necks...) They can't feel the velvet or the skin underneath itself, they go through a rather ghoulish cycle of shedding it every year- but I have to wonder if cutting off the still-growing bone does indeed hurt. It's possible there aren't any nerves given the way they grow, but either way... They don't appear to appreciate the process very much. :/
