This video is a compilation of some of the many short bird videos that I have filmed while taking pictures in the New World Tropics. I hope that you enjoy it.
The first 6 minutes or so is simply the audio from the field. Many of the clips I had did not have usable audio so instead I asked a friend if I could use some of her beautiful music to go with the video.

Unbelievable how many bird are there in wilderness .brilliant work,loved watching this video,im passionate hobbyist photographer and dont have any of pro lever long lenses,i wish i had one and thats what i do few times a month,just go and photography this fascinating beautiful birds,iv shots humming birds and few others that i dont know there name.its so challenging and interesting trying to photograph when there flying.

I absolutely love your videos Glenn, i only found your channel last week, but damn...i love it! Whenever i get spare time i find a video of yours to watch! I have always wanted to get in to wildlife photography, i just can't afford the lenses. Do you have any advice? Would be a great idea if you made a video tutorial on how to photoshop and correct the ' steel eye ' look or the various incorrect bird eye colors that show up in many photos. No one else has this on youtube that I can find. I have enjoyed watching you videos Thanks

These are just amazing. It's a nice choice of music, but, yeah, I'm another who'd have preferred to just hear the bird sounds. (I take it that you weren't always able to capture the sounds to your satisfaction, so you filled in the space with music.) Regardless, it's an amazing video and I thank you for sharing it.

I knew a lot of people would critique the music. Sorry, it's my turn, now, though I will try not to be quite as negative or indirect. Since (as I already had immediately guessed), the only purpose of the music-track you added, was to fill-in, over the rest of the tracks, which had lacked usable audio--; you appear to have mis-applied the resultant principle of minimalism or utilitarianism, for it. The music you sought, was intended merely to "fill-the-void," for something that was "missing," arguably rather-than to have added something that never would have been there to begin with, if the thing that were "missing," were "not" "missing." You seemed to have interpreted this concept as meaning, in the sense where anything not conspicuously "bad" in-its own-right "regardless" of where it would have been used, would "suit" this need. For example, if your video would have been of a "car-race," you would have specifically looked for "car-race" music (like the Beach Boys "Fun, Fun, Fun," or Deep Purple's "Highway Star,") but that given that "this" didn't "have" any "special" "music-tracks" "specifically-written" for it--; it opened the door to the fallacy, that the selection was merely "open-ended." A delicate, visual subject, like birds in the wild, is very-readily overwhelmed, by anything but some of the most subtle, music tracks. There would be broadly, "two" options, predominantly "melodic," and essentially "ambient." Ambient music, ranges from unedited nature-sounds, through nature sounds edited to impart a subtle sense of rhythm, edited nature-sounds combined with subtle, instrument sounds, with varying degrees of rhythmicity, and all-instruments, but played and mixed to have an incomplete rhythm, and to have suggested an ambient source of sound. Predominantly Melodic, means that there's a fairly identifiable and consistent beat, and that most of the other rules of melody are observed--; although the texture of the rhythm would tend to have more glissando and legato, and less staccato in it, than "pure" melodic, instrumental-structure, would ordinarily have. A more common term, that encompasses both of these forms, is "Mood Music." Whatever music you would have used, it really needed to be Instrumental, non-lyrical. Obviously the singer was just using "Music" to sing philosophical tracts with a common-message, where even her "melodies," "already" were subordinate, to this strong, verbal "message." Unfortunately, when you put your subtle "video" up alongside that, the "video-imagery" likewise, simply becomes, one more "accessory" of this assertive, political or philosophical "message." If you just sat there and "hummed," "in-time," and "on-key," for the entire-duration, of when you had had that lyrical musical audio--; just "that" "already" would have been "less skew," than the track you "used." Other than this, I'd like to advise, other critics, of our OP's "sound-track," that he is obviously masterfully accomplished with his telephoto video capture equipment--; as well as having incredible skills for finding and filming elusive, often-rare "birds," in strange and wild "habitats," where it might be hard for the human photographer to "navigate," or retain our composure, to sustain the level of attention still to manifest our filming "skills." All these things, are well-beyond even "my" experience--; but, for those who use anything less-spontaneous than a "webcam," (indeed, "if-" that--;) it rapidly becomes "clear--;" even the "simplest," "videography," (including editing for uploading) is "no" "easy" thing. And adding separate "audio," isn't straightforward "either." With the clampdown on "copyright restrictions" today, a great deal more "workaround" audio-tracks, are being "thrust" into audiovisual productions, and the proportion of them, that conspicuously "don't-fit," or even would have been "worse-than-nothing," unfortunately, is on-the-rise. I hope this was helpful rather than insulting. Sorry, Anyway. Thank You.

I bought both of those books a couple weeks ago but have been too sidetracked viewing the images to stop and read the prose. Bought one from Roberts Cameras via eBay and tested it extensively, modes and color matching the brand new 430EX II from the previous month, almost exactly the same results across various color chips. H.S.V. Sat, Tint almost all exactly the same.
