There are many comments on disinfectants, so I will inform you :) The disinfectant in the video is made by fermenting rice, barley, corn, etc. It is a product that is harmless to the human body by manufacturing fermented alcohol as the main ingredient. Disinfectants for food, utensils, etc., disinfection for worker hygiene, etc. It can be used in various places. Thank you for watching today!

See how they clean up before they start? This is what all culinary staff should be doing before they handle your food, yet half of the people in this industry don't even wash their hands before touching your food. When I was in culinary school, I'd see people leave the washroom without washing their hands all still in chef uniform. I'd see people picking their noses during class and then continued prepping food. Once a girl in my culinary class side I washed my hands like a doctor. My reply was, this is how you're supposed to wash your hands. - did she think doctors get special germs or something? People don't even consider hygiene to be an important thing so it's refreshing to see there are still companies that have standards.

@Michael Oswald point to anything in your house. A sink. A fridge. A bag of chips/crisps. Plywood. A desk. A fan. A mattress. Are any of them not mass produced. I’m not supporting unethical working conditions in saying you’re wrong. I’m asking, is it the mass production you don’t like or the unethical work environments? Because that seemed incredibly clean and safe to me and the workers seemed to be treated well.

Incredibly nauseating. One cake, or a single passing whiff driving past the bakery, fine. But immersed for hours with it in your face until you can't smell it anymore, going home reeking of the stuff and not smelling it again until after you've taken a shower and pick up your clothes to put in the hamper. It'd be years after changing jobs before I'd be able to even _look_ at a cake again without a little stomach churn. I used to work across the highway from a cookie factory, and even that was too much. Summer was the worst.

The way they pour things into the mixer, the way things are layer out on the counter, the order in which things happen, everything is designed for ideal efficiency. @@zurthr2081 people who work repetitive manual labour jobs on fordist production lines tend to be paid very little. We don't know for sure but it's likely. The fact that the process is split into so many steps means the workers might only be trained to do one step (e.g.: one person is literally just trained to put the sprinkles on the cake and can't do any of the other steps) which allows the company to pay them less. This company could be different and decide to cross train them all in the whole process, give them decent pay and allow great opportunities for advancement but unfortunately historically speaking it's been more convenient for the company not to do any of that

I doubt their workers get paid much. It's low skill work. I wonder how much the cakes sell for.

I really like that you took the time to show the employees properly sanitizing before starting their work. I also really like the subtitles, they help you feel more involved in the whole process :D

I love the skill, the discipline. I wonder how long it takes a new baker to train up. Very smart, quick freezing the cakes to make them easier to handle.

Wow. So clean. And it may be mass production, but those were real ingredients. No high fructose corn syrup or fillers. I'm impressed.

It’s so different from North America, isn’t it? In Korea it is the same process, just BIGGER. In North America, it’s much more mechanized. Hand piping would be done in a pastry or cake shop here, but in a factory it would be squirted with a machine. I assume it is because labour is less expensive there. They don’t use corn syrup as much in Korea or Europe as much because it is much more expensive there. I’ve seen it used in this factory for confections, candy etc. Corn is heavily subsidized in the US, so that it ends up cheaper than cane sugar. (And we wonder why Carribean and Central American countries are struggling- their main exports are being shut out of the largest close market). Oh, sorry- soap box moment- big pharma, chemical and food producers work together to control of the US agriculture and food markets. 🤨

I h8 honey in some countries! In our country it’s filled with a lot of stuff so it’s like thick and lighter. It’s like 15% real honey or something xD A few years ago my dad bought honey from a friend who has bees long away. We still have some of the honey since we Got a lot but it is sooooo good

@@AnimatingOwl I know exactly what you mean! We had that problem in Canada- where stuff filled with sugar syrup was coming in from China. We could only get good honey direct from local farms. The regulations have since changed. The price doubled, but the stuff in the grocery store tastes like proper honey again!
