- Chapter 1,134: "Owl Library". BY REDON - @MUGIWARA_23 - Special Color Spread in the cover: Straw Hat crew (holding water guns) are riding on a giant Franky robot flying over the sea (doing Astro Boy flying pose). Franky giant robot has the same body as Franky but it has metal body and wings. And in its left shoulder there's the sentence "We are eternal". This Color Spread is a tribute to Kazuki Yao (Franky seiyu in One Piece Anime) that announced he's stepping down from his role from now on. - Chapter starts where last one ended. Luffy officially thanks Saul for helping Robin while extending his hand to greet Saul. Luffy: "Saul-ossan!! I understand that one of my underling has been under your care!! You have my appreciation!!! Allow me to introduce myself!!" - Luffy is using Yakuza's way of speaking, so everyone is amused because they have no idea where Luffy learned those words loool Sanji: "Where did you even learned that from...?" Luffy: "Please gave us..." Robin (interrupting Luffy speech): "This is Luffy." Saul: "Dereshishishi. I know!! Luffy is a big name!! You have met good friends!! Robin!! You finally have found them, right?" Robin: "Yes, the nakama who will protect someone like me!!" - All Straw Hat crew (except Luffy, Zoro and Jinbe) starts crying again thinking that they will protect Robin forever. Saul thanks everyone for protecting Robin. - Lilith introduces herself to Saul as Vegapunk (she and Bonney traveled too with Straw Hat crew and Gerd in the "sval"). Then Lilith asks Jinbe to take out from the "sval" one of the machine boxes she brought from Egghead (Gerd helps Jinbe taking it out). The box is a sealed capsule with a "Vega" sticker attached to it. Jinbe: "We carried it out of Egghead based on Vegapunk's instructions. What is inside?" Lilith: "It's me!!" Luffy (in shock): "Vegapunk's clone!?" Lilith: "That's right. Unlike us "Satellite" this is a complete replicate!! THIS Vegapunk was the one who visited Elbaph 20 years ago!! The Government would naturally start to have suspicions if "Stella" just up and leave his Labo for several months, right? We have managed to get it out by putting it in the nutrient medium, but we lack the machinery to bring it out of the box safely!!" - Liltih says she's going to stay in Elbaph and build a new laboratory to revive Vegapunk with this clone body and also to cure Kuma. Bonney is very excited to hear that. - The giants will give the Straw Hat crew a school tour, while Robin, Saul, Chopper, Lilith, and Bonney go up to the "Owl Library". We see the outside of the school building that looks similar to the "Owl Library". - Straw Hat crew meets some giant kids playing near "Warrior's Spring" before going to school tour. Usopp asks them if they also intend on sailing one day to live adventures and fight some ruffians. But someone answers Usopp that this is not the trend anymore. Zoro: "Hm? That came from an adult just now..." Usopp: "What do you mean with that!?" Giant kids: "You better get out of the way or just wait to be scolded. You are right on top of Ripley-sensei." - We discover that during the conversation with the giant kids, Luffy and Usopp have been standing on top of Ripley's body that is lying on the floor (Luffy is on top of Ripley's breast, like when he met Shirahoshi). Ripley is a beautiful giant warrior with a line tattoo in her face, and she is the Biology teacher in "Walrus Academy". Usopp: "We were stepping on a giant~~!? Sorry!!" Ripley: "Ahaha don't worry about it, not like it's heavy. That aside, you are surprised right? "Elbaph Warriors wrecking havoc across the world" that's 100 years ago. This is not the era of violence, plundering or war anymore!!" - Ripley explains that giant kids in "Walrus Academy" are more polite and peaceful compared to other kids in Elbaph because the school follows the will of late "King Harald". - "King Harald" wanted Elbaph to become a peaceful nation that do trades and negotiations instead of war. That's why he didn't get along well with elders of Elbaph villages. After "King Harald" was killed by his own son, Elbaph has no king. - Ripley says she's from the last generation of warriors, so she would've love to see Luffy's white form. According to Elbaph mythology, there was once a warrior who looked like that. - Robin, Chopper, Lilith, Bonney, and Saul arrive to the "Owl Library". Just before entering, Saul explains to Robin what happened with Ohara's books and how he managed to get them back. Saul: "When I arrived to Elbaph after what happened in Ohara, I just couldn't get my mind off of the records that the scholars gave their life for. So I asked Hajrudin and his gang for help and we returned to Ohara once more. And when I saw those tiny books intact, I couldn't help but cried. Now then, let's get inside. And Robin, better BE CAREFUL with that book you have in your hands!!" Robin: "Oh!" Chopper: "What~~~~!?" - Suddenly, when they enter in the "Owl Library", the book Robin was holding in her hands turns into giant size (the book is now bigger than Robin). - We finally see "Owl Library" in an BEAUTIFUL double page. It is a mysterious library full of giant books. Around the giant bookcases there are a lot of massive tree branches hanging around them. And on one of the branches we can see a giant owl sleeping. Saul: "Dereshishishishishi!! How's that!! Are you surprised!? These are the books from back then in Ohara, and now in giant size!! This is the mysterious "Owl Library"!! Where the books grow large upon entering!! These are all the records that Ohara protected 22 years ago!! We kept our eyes open while searching!! So we could bring back every single one of them!! Every last one!!!" Chopper/Bonney: "Woaaaah~~~~~~!!!" - Robin remembers the words that Clover said her in the "Tree of Knowledge" when she was 2 years old and then she cries with happiness. Clover (past): "This is the world's best library. You like books?" Saul: "I am so glad that the day I can show you all this has finally come!! Dereshishishi!!" - Cut to the "Underworld". Loki is talking to someone named "Mosa" ("E" in japanese). Mosa talks in a very polite way and seems to be a timid person (we don't know yet if Mosa is a man or a woman) - Loki and Mosa haven't actually met, but have talked for a long time using Den Den Mushi since Loki has a lot of time and is bored. Over time Loki has come to considered Mosa as friend and calls him/her "Mosakō" ("E" with japanese suffix "ko" ("A") in the name that indicates Loki respects Mosa). Loki: "Are you is still traumatized by the "horrifying experience" you talked me about, Mosa?" Mosa: "Yeah, I'm still shaken by it..." Loki: "If I had been there, I would have killed "all of them" for you Mosa!!" - Mosa says he/she is beginning to notice that while Loki may use scary words, he's actually kind-hearted. This makes Loki angry lol - At the end of the chapter we cut back to "Western Village" of Elbaph (the village where Straw Hat crew arrived in the last chapter). Dorry, Brogy and the other giants are drinking while they wait for Straw Hat crew return. Brogy: "Hey!! The party hasn't started yet!! We're killing time through drinking." Giants: "Well you are drinking too much~~~~!!" - Suddenly a black lighting strikes in the village's castle. In the ABSOLUTELY EPIC final double page of the chapter, we see that a magic circle has appeared in the throne room inside the castle. Magic circle is the same we saw in Egghead when Gorousei appeared in the island, but this circle has no number (remember that Saturn's circle had number 5 on it). - From the magic circle 2 person with black cloaks appear kneeling on the ground. First one is the "hooded Shanks" who was talking to Gorousei during last Levely (chapter 907). Second one looks like a woman with bandages covering her mouth and her hair covering her right eye... - Editor's message: "We have invaders!!" End of the chapter.

I can already see that this Vegapunk clone will be a huge discussion in the community in the coming weeks, but Vegapunk's clone being used as a way for him to travel the world while the original body works on Egghead is a cool idea from Oda. People like Morj have already talked about the parallels between Loki and Zoro‘s introduction. Mosa reminds me of Rika, the girl who fed Zoro. Koby was talking about how Zoro is this evil guy but Rika corrected him and mentioned how he seems evil but he’s actually kind and saved her. Mosa essentially says the same thing about Loki. Wouldn’t be surprised if she’s some little girl. Maybe one of the only people who knows Loki didn’t actually kill King Harald.

So Elbaph doesn't have a king at the moment, there goes the theory of the current king being corrupt. So King Harald wanted to trade with the rest of the world and this caused friction with other giants, I'm starting to think that Loki was influenced to kill him by other giants, to keep the ancient customs of the kingdom intact. I bet this Mosa is Loki's new crush after Lola rejected him, and based on what she said here, I'm starting to get into the camp that thinks he won't be a villain.

SHONKS IS REAL! I knew that two Holy Knights would be sent to Elbaph. It's the same pattern as Mr. 3 and Miss GoldenWeek appearing before Baroque Works, Buffalo and Baby 5 before the Doflamingo Family, Pekoms and Tamago before the Big Mom Pirates and so on. "We have invanders!" Oh yeah, those two are definitely the main villains of Elbaph. So in addition to Shonks, we have a female Holy Knight alongside him. I already feel that this character is going to be very popular just because she is associated with Shanks' brother.

Ngl as a mythology fan I thought Mosa sounded like Sigyn, Loki's wife. In Norse Mythology, she is the one that is devoted to stay by Loki in the cave. She holds up a cup to try to protect Loki by the poison of a serpent that is tasked to punish Loki for the death of Baldr. Also the owl reminds me of Hraesvelgr, the giant eagle that sits at the top of Yggdrasil. I know that the mythology doesn't connect one-to-one but I still love when Oda links Norse mythology into One Piece.

I have a crazy theory. We know Loki mentioned Shanks' name a few chapters ago and he quite possibly has a grudge on him. What if, the one that he hates is actually Shanks' relative (the one that looks identical like him) but since Loki doesn't know there are two 2 Shanks, he thinks it's the Shanks we know that he despises. Now since the other Shanks is a Holy Knight and the WG doesn't want normal civilians to know that there are 2 Shanks, they instead blame everything on Emperor Shanks since they could possibly see him as a betrayal because he left WG to become a normal human.

It could be common practice for the World Gov to keep dna samples of those who worked for them, or maybe just specifically pirates. It's possibly Shanks might've worked with them and had his dna sample taken. Or it could actually be his twin brother

The Figerland family is already confirmed. All the Holy Knights are from power families & there are 20 families that make up the world government. 9 of them are Holy Knights. So yeah. That is definitely Shanks brother. Idk why that's so hard to comprehend from the fandom.

Here’s the thing with revival - that I’m not happy about with Saul. Characters are meant to change. Death, if a character is revived, is device to change the character. No storyteller would kill a character and bring them back as the same character. Either they will have gone through a change internally, maybe with something along the lines of their values changing. Or it can be physically, like missing their power that they had before or even gaining a new power that changes their new dynamic. Whoever comes back to life will be in the story to represent something new for the story. We haven’t really seen much of Saul’s change yet, but I’m sure we will. It’s been 20 years. But so far I’m pretty disappointed in that aspect. Why is he in the story if he isnt here to offer anything new? But maybe it’s still too early to declare that. Maybe he will show how he has changed the more time we spend with him. Here’s what I’m thinking. We got the warning not to stay here too long and just a chapter later we have Lilith saying she’s going to stay and try to revive Vegapunk and Kuma. I don’t think it’s going to go as planned and whatever issue there is on Elbaf will affect Lilith, Vegapunk, and Kuma. They will have some sort of change and I don’t think it’ll be a pleasant one.

Mosa was caught up in the blast either by Kid or by shanks's divine departure. Maybe their observation Haki is super heightened. To them this was a horrifying incident and now Loki wants revenge on shanks. Loki goes apeshit on Stabs when they meet.

The Owl Library enlargement phenomenon might have something to do with the hover tech lilith mentioned last chapter as we've yet to see what that does If Banks is truly Shanks relative, im curious how he knew Luffy had the nika fruit and informed the elders bout it, is he mind roping or collabing with Shanks? Or is oda going down a grey shanks/split persona route for shanks, or do we have a 3rd shapeshifter character in the story

I like the idea that giants are beginning to stop being warriors, because I want Usopp to realise he was chasing a truly impossible goal, not impossible as it’s hard but that it literally will never happen. And instead solidifies his identity as a trickster, like what he did with his fight with Luffy.

What if it was a mandatory kill: a someone even giants couldn’t/wouldn’t defy without severe consequences order the death of Harold, but Loki was the only one who was willing to do it. We know ussop was tempted by certain decisions in the past until he built up enough character, what if Loki also was faced with that but faltered. We wouldn’t call Ussop a mean guy, but a good portion of people would still think badly of ussop. Or maybe I’m just making this up as it pops into my head. If king harold was about to mention the secret of the void century in front of the navy, what if loki went and killed him before he could. While guilty of the crime of killing the king, it was under special circumstances. Or what if that’s how his fruit works and that’s why he offered the “i’ll kill anyone you want” deal, because his fruit allows him to do that. And the offer he made to “shanks” was used to kill his father. A powerful fruit indeed with a very sharp double edged sword.
