Great video! I know you’ve been working on this for a long time and it turned out great! You can tell how much effort was put into this. There are definitely interesting development in this. I’m personally interested in how much of any of these light novels are influenced by Oda himself. I know these ones are considered to be “more canon,” but how much was actually thought up by Oda and which ones does he see as canon? Because right now he barely has the time to show connections between characters like Franky and Queen or show much of what happened at Rocky Port. I wonder if he’d even had the ability to bring any of these into main canon. But who knows, maybe these are going to be things that could be expanded upon after One Piece is finished. I could definitely see this get animated in the same vain as Fan Letter. There may be hints and clues or parallels in here that could be important too.

Part of me thinks he’s just too busy, or still unsure about certain plots to confirm the novel yet, but the fact theyre answering things like where Laws ship and sword came from and other big events make me think those at least are canon, even if the details aren’t (like the chopper thing)

Personally I go with tries of canon, the first is the manga itself since that’s the actual story, then the SBS since that’s Oda’s answering the questions, ending with the magazines and vivera cards which as long as they don’t contradict anything or just don’t make sense, I’m willing to believe are canon.

To accommodate authors, we sometimes say "whatever they say - that's fine too." For example, with famous IP, like Star Wars/Disney. Let's be real... There's manga canon... There's a separate anime canon, written by a team of writers... There's a separate novel canon written entirely by NOT ODA, drawn by not Oda. Keep Rockin', Mr. Dakota-Sama!
