Two years ago, my aunt died at 102 years of age. She was a career woman before her time. This fall, her son, my cousin, brought my sisters and I all of her costume jewelry...3 copier paper boxes full! We had no problems dividing it up amongst us, my mum, and nieces. Some pieces were given as gifts to dear friends. I spent an afternoon turning clip on earrings into earrings for pierced ears. My favorite pieces are the brooches! Like those just gifted to you, they are so lovely, so retro, so sparkly. I wear a different one on my sweater every day. Yesterday, I wore sparkly pink rhinestone flowers and earrings! Such fun.

Firstly I would like to commend you Stephanie and all of the wonderful people that support you at the Chateau on a daily basis. We love joining the fun and positive energy you exude and will wait as long as it takes to see your vlogs. Secondly, for the people who are complaining in comments on this platform regarding delays in vlog uploads and chatter whilst filming etc. I would just like to say that these vlogs are not television productions with massive budgets, cast and crew, they are real people that are just living their lives and trying to bring some fun into a few peoples lives by sharing their everyday life. We are privileged to be a part of these amazing videos and should be very happy to even receive 1 vlog per week and at a very professional level. Many other vloggers have had to take very long breaks from the hectic side of video production. as it is not easy to produce content at a regular pace whilst still carrying on with “normal” every day tasks also. Lastly, I have worked in and taught production so I understand what it takes to even produce a very amateur short video. I am a very positive person and try to give more than I take, I find this pays back in many ways. Be kind people and above all just be patient and enjoy the lovely things, especially joining the fabulous Stephanie Jarvis and all the La Landers on their journey. Sorry everyone but I couldn’t go past the evident entitlement any longer. Have a wonderful evening from S & B in Australia.

Hello how are you doing hope you're safe over there??
@foretb11623 жыл бұрын
The 1st pin you have Stephanie is a "roadrunner". It is considered to be a bird but it has been immortalized in an animated Looney Tunes series called "The Roadrunner' where Wile E. Coyote tries to trap it via a whole bunch of crazy inventions that normally are wasted because the one that gets flattened or blown up is the coyote. The roadrunner of course, is much too fast and smarter to get caught in the coyote's wiles....but of course, their antics are hilarious! The Greater Roadrunner is called that because he doesn't fly very often - he makes me think of a wild turkey at times because he only flies up to his nest in the trees. The rest of the time, to travel, he 'runs' on the ground. He can attain the speed of 20 mph (32kmh). That's quite fast for a bird. They are carnivorous which is a good thing as they predominantly live in very arid areas of the lower part of the United States.

It was summer and I was resting in the garden. My daughter was doing the washing and kept walking past me giving me dirty looks lol 😆 there were a few soggy pads on the grass. I said to her "what's up?" She looked at me and said " mum you are disgusting lol leaving your pads in the washing!" She thought they were panty liners. I couldn't laugh much because of the pain. Gingerbread house tip. Use white chocolate to hold it together. It's takes a bit to set up so you have to stand there chatting til it sticks but it's like cement. I make 60 gingerbread houses for our library for kids to decorate. White chocolate is great
@gnarbeljo89803 жыл бұрын
Really? That’s a surprize. I always used sugar melted to a thick brown caramel in a pan and then dipped the whole side of one piece and quickly connected the other to it. I use small cardboard boxes as a guide to lay the sides against to insure the corners are at the correct angle and the roof I do separately and lay on top. The joins are rock hard as the cool and then covered with piped icing sugar paste on the exterior. That who I was taught. I’ve bought gelatin in shin sheet form (rather than powder) and they are easily cut with scissors and make perfet frosted window panes very realistic when lit from within. Chocolate sounds alot easier and more chikd friendly to work with (hot caramal is definately not something you wan’t kids around. I expect the ”open time” before it sets is longer too, only you’d have to be careful with candles, fairylights, radiators and fireplaces so it doesn’t go soft from heat. Great idea to try when making more complicated joins, thanks!

Thank you. Great advice. Much easier that making Royal icing which I was dreading!
@pattyweaver91483 жыл бұрын
@@gnarbeljo8980 Actually, I have ceramic molds (pampered chef, now retired) and make all chocolate houses. I use Royal Icing mix, and do it stiff enough to easily glue, and then a little thinner for decoration. At Christmas I do white chocolate and add crushed red/green peppermint candy for flecks of color and taste.
@gnarbeljo89803 жыл бұрын
@@pattyweaver9148 oh I see, the houses are all in chocolate. Gingerbread is hard and dry so I doubt chocolate would hold pieces tigether sufficiantly. Caramel is extremely sticky and fluid and dries in seconds to hard candy. So you can build as big as you like, as many levels as you like and it will stand up to a heavy roof too. The icing is piped out to cover all these brown semitransparent joins. Working in chocolate is an art unto itself, tempering it correctly is tricky, but fun! Only made filled chocolates and a few solid found objects in white chocolate i made a silicone mould of, as edible sculpture (art project). Was ALOT to learn doing pralines! Spent an entire weekend! Now I really respect a good chocolatier or maker of french chocolate perfectly layered and glased with dark mirror smooth ganashe 😍😋
