I've literally been binge watching your videos like crazy man. You have amazing editing skills!! Also, your sense of humor is a 10/10. I've applied to OSU for Fall 2017, but I'm coming all the way from Chi! (Chicago, Illinois) so it's a long ways away. I'm really hoping to get in. I do have one question though! How long did it take for you to receive your package for acceptance (or in my case it could be denial)?? I'm definitely freaking out about that since I'm about a 7-8 hour drive away from OSU and I have to plan a visit but it hasn't come in yet! Thanks! Keep vlogging on ✌️😉

Haha, I can definitely relate! My mom was constantly pushing a California school like UCLA or Berkley, but I just couldn't do it. I toured OSU back in March (I live 2 hours away) and I fell IN LOVE WITH IT. My absolute dream school. I knew exactly where you were when you were outside and everything. I’m applying there for sure, and hope I get in. I don’t hold much hope though because my GPA is a little low and whatnot but I’m haulin’ ass. I’m pushing for 5 years of language, taking college classes right now, so I’m doing everything I can. Dope dorm and video though nonetheless! You just earned a like and a sub. :)

And it fosters a very welcoming community for international students as well. I think and hope you will enjoy it a lot, but I can't talk about specifics unfortunately

any tips for freshmen in terms of where to stay? I heard south campus is really bad and north campus is really nice. where did you stay during your freshman year? I'll be attending OSU in the fall as a freshman.

Newer dorms are obviously nicer than older ones but there isn't one side of campus that's objectively better than the other. Both sides have new and old dorms, both have certain things that they're closer to than the other side, both have their pros and cons. I stayed on North my freshman and sophomore year and it worked well for me but it really doesn't matter as long as you're not on west campus lol. Best of luck in the fall :)

For freshman coming in next year, where would you recommend trying to live in, I want to live in a suite style quad, but I'm not sure where the best options for freshman are, any advice?

+dnesp13 i would try live anywhere on north campus if possible. You'll have the best chance of getting a new dorm that way. I don't know that there are any suite style quads for freshman. There are six and eight suite style dorms though, I believe

+dnesp13 okay I kinda was wrong with what I said before. There are two dorms that I know of that you can get as freshman that have the style you want. Norton and Taylor. Both on north campus BUT they are both old dorms. I know Taylor is an honors dorm and my friend that lives in norton is in a specific scholars program (ICE). Not sure if you can get into those if you're not part of those respective groups but don't quote me on that. Other than those two, there's Morill and Lincoln that have suite style but I wouldn't suggest living there haha. That leaves pretty much only dorms with normal doubles for freshmen. But yeah somewhere on an osu website they tell you all the room types for each dorm, but they don't say that some are only for upper classman

I don’t work in the admissions office so there’s nothing I can do to help, sorry homie! I know a lot of people that go to community college and then transfer in so that might be a good option for you if you don’t get in the first time around!

I'm looking into CSE at OSU. How's the workload?

+TheCalebEffect engineering is generally more work than any other major your first year, but still not terrible. Then once your in the CSE major, your software and systems classes ramp up the workload but as long as you make it a priority you'll do fine. I mean I have a minor and clubs and daily vlog and still do alright. Not bragging at all just simply demonstrating it's possible to have a life outside of CSE

JMontage Yea, when you choose housing you chose which Rating of a dorm you want, Rate 1,2,2A, and 3. Rate 1 is the most expensive but the quality of rooms is higher, as you go down the price declines but so does the quality. :)

Ahh, well it worked slightly differently than that when I applied for housing so I’m not sure what this would be classified as! My guess would be Rate 1 because it’s a newer dorm. Also the suite style room in this video is only available for sophomores. doubles in this building are very similar, but just made for two people without the common room. Hope that helps :)
