That is really a great treasure of laces you found. Beautiful pieces from old garments. Some lace trims are bobbin lace and machine lace and you might be able to buy a book about Victorian lace making to help with your research. I would personally display the chair cover just the way it is. Put it in a corner of a room and enjoy looking at it. Maybe find an old flat basket to fit on it and display your lace in it. Thats what i do with my lace collection.

I loved this so much I had to watch it twice! The Battenberg "placemat" is beautiful and the embroidered moth piece is so charming. I am the lace and textile dealer who follows you so, of course, I want it all! I agree with the other person who commented about the toile chair cover. Enjoy it as is for a while. And ... it is usually heat that makes a plate or bowl have the brown on it. I like imagining the owner keeping her dinner warm in the oven or on top of the stove!
