Hi if anyone can read this I need help, I have 2 blue tongues one is a bloched blue tongue (who is a male) and the other is an eastern (who is female) my eastern is about 2 years old and my bloched blue tongue is about 1, I’m not sure why but at night my eastern seems to get very agitated at times and when she see Phoenix my bloched blue tongue she sometimes charges at him out of no where and bites him, leaving him with scraps on his back and head I’ve tried to add an extra hide for them so they won’t be in each other’s way as much but that didn’t seem to work, another note: she is a rescue pet so she wasn’t born in captivity, if anyone has any suggestions please leave a comment. 🙂

Separate them into their own enclosures immediately. Blueys that don’t get along can kill each other fast.
@skywolf-44343 жыл бұрын
@@coopsreptiles2588 I only have one enclosure, they get along during the day just not at night for some reason, I guess it could be due to the temperature..
@graphite27863 жыл бұрын
Unless you have a really big enclosure it's not good to keep different Tiliqua species together. Seperate them immediately as it's extremely cruel to force a submissive blue tongue in with a dominant one. Now that this behaviour has started there is nothing you can do to stop it. As Coop said the dominant one could kill the other, either through injury or stress related diseases. Either get a second enclosure or rehome one of them. This is a behavioral issue, in the wild blue tongues co habit occasionally during the breeding season. Different species never do.
@skywolf-44343 жыл бұрын
@@graphite2786 it is a rather large enclosure, forgot to mention she is also going into shed she seems to get a bit more agitated at this time more than usual, and it is very cold where I live, I turn the lizard lights on at 7am and off at 8pm, when I turn them off she gets annoyed, again it could be because she is going into shed. I only just noticed he was going into shed last night, she doesn’t just get angry at Phoenix my blotched blue tongue, she gets angry at any other person who tries to touch her when she is shedding. When she is not shedding she is clam (most of the time) sometimes when she is not shedding she get agitated when it’s cold. But thanks for the advice! I think I’ll consider getting a separate enclosure.
