Thank you. It was a fun build, only issue I had is we had the worst season ever to use it more than a handful of times. Thanks for stopping by 👍

I already am 😆 just kidding. I really wanted to film step by step but was on a tight schedule to get it done, because ice was getting close to be ready. I banged it out in like 4 days with paint drying taking longest. Next one ill film for sure. Thanks for stopping by 👍

Thank you, very much appreciated. I really wanted to film the whole build and do a step by step, but the ice fishing season was fast approaching and I banged this out in about 4 days. Longest part was waiting for paint to dry lol. Next build ill try to take time to film some of actual build. Thanks for watching 👍

Awesome build! Didn't get out on the ice to fish at all this season :( going to have to head up to your neck of the woods next year if we get more of the same.

Thank you. This year was definitely the worst I ever remember for ice. Definitely come on up, happy to give ice reports if needed. 👍

Great build! Just windering why you did not use the existing tunnel from the sled? Just picked uo a couple aluminum based sleds and it seems like would save some cost and fabrication effort. Also where is the material list? Most interested in the clutch setup and gearing.
@BarkEater
@BarkEater 5 ай бұрын
Thank you. This is my 2nd build and first was using the original tunnel. I really like the look of frame and honestly this is much lighter than using tunnel as you still need some frame reinforcement on aluminum anyhow. My other build is in my vids also. Thanks for watching 👍

Nice work, looks like it moves pretty fast . What was the stock chaincase gearing?
@BarkEater
@BarkEater 6 ай бұрын
13t and 22t on stock gearing. Its at about 6.3:1 ratio. Just enough speed without sacrificing pulling power. Thanks for watching 👍

Nice job! I just finished building my first one of these and I am giving it a shot tomorrow. From your TC to your first sprocket your chain does not have a tensioner, mine is set up similar. I’ve been debating whether or not to put a tensioner in it. What are your thoughts on that?
@BarkEater
@BarkEater 6 ай бұрын
Few days ago I actually cut off the bottom tensioner and shorted chain but cutting a link out and adding a half link. Its snug now. I was concerned with it being low to ground and open sticks or ice chunks could get jammed in there. For top chain from TC I added a tensioner not because it needed it but figured it couldn't hurt. I bolted it to the back side of TC plate pushing down on chain with spring. I ran it a lot since and it seems to be rolling smooth and keeping nice tension. Really if you can adjust motor back to tighten chain, tensioner isn't necessary in my opinion. Hope your build serves you well, they are fantastic to use. 👍

I have it geared to go about 14mph and still enough torque to pull well over 1k lbs across a frozen lake.

Nice built! Do you know the total weight?
@BarkEater
@BarkEater 6 ай бұрын
Thank you. I haven't weighed it but I would guess somewhere in the 150 range for unit minus hitch and sled. If I get a chance to weigh it up ill report back. Its definitely a bit lighter than some using 16g framing and short track donor. Thanks for stopping by 👍

I don't think its any slower 😆 I'm waiting for a fresh snow to cover my road to take it on a flat run thats not ice to check the mph. 👍 thanks for watching
