I started using Revlon Illuminance and instantly fell in love. Very reasonable price, gives a soft glow, and can be buildable if you want a fuller coverage. I also like the Wet n Wild and it looks great on you and very similar to the Revlon but I think the Revlon has a bit longer staying power

Love your channel Margaret. Your viewers are always so kind. Picks me up when I'm feeling out of sorts and a little down. I love doing makeup as well. It's been cloudy and chilly here in North Texas as well. Kinda depressing. I love how you do your makeup. I do buy some Indie brands since my daughter promotes for some of them but I love how your doing drugstore brands. Because you've done a few using Wet n Wild and E.L.F I've invested in quite a bit of E.L.F. products and absolutely love them. That luminous putty blush is the best. I just order the one you used today and I have the Maui one. I just love them,very subtle. Anyway just wanted to say how much I appreciate you and your channel.

I always wonder how to get the right color drugstore foundation. The expensive brands have testers to try but not drugstore brands. Any suggestions on how? I buy so many and they are not the right color.

I like the wet and wild foundation but I too found it hard to apply with the applicator. And then a brush seemed to not set it correctly but I was not dabbing it maybe I will try that and see if it works

I have a question. Not about the products because that is all I have ever used is "drugstore" makeup. I like seeing these products tried on video. My question is are you using one of those lights that make you look good no matter what your skin looks like? I would like to see the people making these makeup videos go outside and use only sunshine as lighting. I mean we don't walk around with one of those lights on in front of us.

I do use a small ring light for my recording. But I often take videos outside so that you can see how the makeup looks. I think if you look back at most of my make up videos, you’ll see me starting off with skin that is absolutely perfect. All the make up does is smooth the skin and I think that’s a fairly accurate representation. I do not use filters of any kind.

I too go more for drugstore brands, (for the most part less expensive), & the cream based seem to be more forgiving 😊 love watching your videos. I as well am in my 60’s & enjoy playing around with makeup, sometimes it just elevates my mood/day 🙂 just a little heads up, it took me a minute as well to find the names on the elf putty pot products, they’re difficult to see without my glasses 😂 but they’re located on the side of the jar(s), don’t understand whyyy they hid them there 🤷‍♀️

Hi, Ive never heard of GYC Serum! So I had to look it up while watching you. Seems it has coconut oil and several essential oils that my sensitive skin cant handle. But it does have an ingredient I absolutely Love and use on face & body daily...and that's Grapeseed Oil! Full of Omega 2 & 5 fatty acids but is not greasy and just melts right into my dry skin! I also use several of the Ordinary's serums (wonderful and very reasonably priced). And you mentioned Catrice! Awesome makeup (I usually buy from Amazon or Ulta) Love the pretty look you did today. I ordered Wet n wild 5 pan shadow in camo flaunt yesterday, lovely shades of muted pink and brown. I cannot wait to receive it and just over £2. The catrice hibiscus blush is wonderful. I too cannot wear red lipstick I wish I could. So I stick with Maybelline superstay lip colour in Dreamer, a flattering light pink. I also ordered two wet n wild glitter shadows in bronze and brown maybe I am getting too old for glitter but who cares!!

Margaret, you always do a lovely job on your makeup. But, I find myself avoiding it, because I detest my jowls and hooded eyes. I know it sounds defeatist, but, my feeling is, "What's the difference? Dear Margaret. You have the most BEAUTIFUL eyes, I have seen on a woman. Really big and sparkling. My eyes are very very hooded, and when I put mascara on my lashes, it can’t be seen, at all!!! So I try to do what I can. Every single day I am using makeup. 😊 I feel much better when I look as good as I can. 😊 I am in my late sixties.
