No. She finds nice alternatives for those of us who can’t afford to buy expensive cosmetics. When I was looking for makeup tutorials, I was looking at all my options. A lot of people think they are makeup artists. I saw Nikol and thought to myself, This a no brainer. She’s an adult, and her makeup is flawless.

Just wanted to say, i had gone to your beauty website, I put a few items I really wanted in my cart (makeup brushes included), and was debating whether to purchase all that I had in the cart, or purchase half and wait a couple of weeks to purchase the rest. Hi Nikol, I am discovering skin care and makeup in my 50s. I seem to be sporadic about it, but since I found your channel, I've found the fun in it. You've inspired me to want to get made up for the day even when I'm hanging out around the house. I went through chemo six years ago and it wrecked my lashes and brows. It made me not really want to go through the trouble of even putting on mascara. I did get microblading because I looked ghostly. It's hard for me to follow makeup tutorials because I"m Asian and my lids are different. But, you've encouraged me to just try things and not worry about mistakes. Also, as you said, "less is more" as we age. I was trying to follow young people and discovered I only looked cakey and worse with makeup. I've purchased over $200 of your products and am loving them all. I don't use them all, all of the time, but it's nice to have access to what works. Thank you for representing us and loving us enough to provide your product line.

Congrats on surviving your illness and trying to make the most of your days now. Imo when it comes to makeup, just take each day as it comes and stick with the basics when you don't want to go to the trouble of applying makeup. Perhaps a tinted moisturizer and a lipgloss or sheer lipstick is all you need to feel good some days. As far as watching influencers, I recommend watching women who are 40+, because they know that our skin care needs are different. There's an Asian American woman I recommend who is in her 50s; her name is Michele Wang. Although she's not a makeup artist, she routinely applies classy and simple makeup that is perfect for women in our age bracket. The way she applies her eyeshadow is lovely and I really think it might give you some good ideas, as she probably has similar eye and facial features that you might have. I can't tell you how happy I am to have found your channel. I really like your approach. But the thing I love the most is all of the added information. I'm in my late 30's but was put into early onset menopause a couple of years ago. So I deal with the hormonal issues and have seen changes in the texture and colors in my skin, along with a whole list of other things. I've been doing some serious research on foundations. With the economy being where it's at and having a family to take care of. I really don't want to spend $30 on a foundation. Your videos have helped point me in the right direction.

I usually like a more spendy foundation cause I am older and figured I had to have a "better"product, but I tried the Cover Girl Clean Milk foundation on your recommendation and really like it! It is a "like skin" look and feeling, not like paint, doesn't emphasize lines, very moisturizing and breathable, feels like nothing on my skin. Thanks for the recommendation!

Oh, I found another use for lash primer or the clear freeze for eye brows! My bottom lashes are sparce and blond so I can’t see them. I use one or the other I mentioned, let dry and then use mascara. Who knew but I have plenty of lashes down there. No irritation and quick dry.
