The Rabab is showing up more and more everywhere, and I couldn't be happier! I began falling in love with the people and culture of Afghanistan about 40 years ago when studying Music Composition and Comparative Religion. I had only begun to learn about this magnificent country when the Russian tanks began rolling in,and I have been carrying a torch in my heart ever since. It seemed around 2010 that we had turned a corner, but now the rebirth of Afghan music - let alone peace and safety, is hanging by a thread still. I can't do enough to promote Afghan music and the hope for the future of the Afghan people. For those who enjoyed this, there's so much more! Please, check out some of my favorites:Ajmal Omid, his brother Aimal Omid,Farhad Darya,Qais Essar,Saiid Sayaad,Marjan Farsad..I'll stop here - but there's so many more! Peace,Prosperity and Freedom to Noble Afghanistan!
