This is one of the most beautiful and easy all downhill bike ride routes from Boulder City to the Hoover Dam. The total length of the ride was 12 miles each way. We started this ride at All Mountain Cyclery in Boulder City. We then road up to the Natural Discovery & Rock Garden Trail. From there we road to the Bootleg Canyon trailhead. We then entered the River Mountains Loop Trail and followed it to the Lake Mead Recreational Area. We then connected to the Historic Railroad Trail and followed that to the Hoover Dam. This scenic bike ride took about 2:45 mins total.

TIP TO DO THIS BIKE RIDE: We did this ride on ebikes. Melanie and I ride Luna Cycle X1 electric mountain bikes. Our friends Dave and Amanda rented cruiser style ebikes from All Mountain Cyclerly. The rental fee was $100 per bike for 8 hours. It is possible to do this ride on a non-electric assisted bike. Melanie and I have done it before. However, the climb back can be tough for those without bike riding endurance, especially in hot desert weather. As with any desert ride, bring lots of water. If you plan to tour the Hoover Dam at the end of the trail, bring a bike lock. You cannot bring your bike to the dam but there is a safe spot to lock your bikes. There is at least 2 bathroom spots on this route (one at Bootleg Canyon trailhead and another one at the Lake Mead Recreational Area. There is over 3,000 feet of climbing on this ride round trip. Most of it will be on the return trip but it is very gradual (except for the climb from All Mountain Cyclerly to the Natural Discovery trail).
If you have questions about this trip/ride please feel free to ask them in the comments.

THE BIKE RIDEZ STORY & MISSION :
We are e-bike explorers! This channel is continuing to evolve. The current focus is the scenic beauty and peaceful landscape of the trails we ride, not the actual mountain bike riding or e-bikes we are riding. Although we thoroughly love riding our eMTBs for exercise and adventure, bike riding is our primary form of meditation and stress relief. Our bike rides allow for a few hours without our phones where we can stay focused on being in the moment. Best of all we get to share with you some of the best and most spectacular scenic bike trails in the United States. At BikeRidez, it's not always about the ride, it's about the view!
