It is impossible to pick a favourite Elvis song, or even the top ten Elvis songs. But this song, no matter what time or phase of my fandom, has always been in my regular rotation. It is spectacular. The subtle vibrato, the cry , the effortless high notes, the smooth baritone: this is like all the beauty of Elvis's music in one perfect song.

Another Great Reaction Video Ray! You made me tear up over your sweet comments an words about Elvis! Haters are always going to hate! But Elvis didn’t! He truly loved giving an helping others he didn’t think twice about it our judge nobody by their skin color, disability’s,religion, rich or poor he loved everyone a tried to help everyone he could! His humanitarian work stands above any other entertainer big star ever! Nobody did what Elvis did! How many stars go an talk to fans, let them in their yard to walk around with him,his friends, his family or alone? None but there is plenty of pics of Elvis all by himself speaking to fans at the gates where he walked down, drove , road his horse or golf cart! He was the greatest an his heart was bigger than all others, his personality, his respect he gave not just to his elders all men an women! He was a true southern gentleman! But some still try to hurt his legacy! Elvis will live an be loved forever because of how he was not because of anyone else! For what he did & done! This world was a better place when he was alive an still is because of what all he did & what he left us! I will always love & remember Elvis! Thank you again Ray have a great week & the family! Happy New Year again my friend! Thank you & I appreciate all you do! An the same goes for all the Vibe Gang! I appreciate an thank you all! God bless, take care & stay safe everyone! @Kathryne081610 ай бұрын
First - this song was a big hit for Ronnie Milsap. Who just happened to be the pianist in the building, and got conscripted to play when Elvis recorded "Kentucky Rain." He was also one of the entertainers hired to play at a New Year's Eve party Elvis held at TJ's nightclub when 70 became 71. He said playing with Elvis was a blast, and he learned so much from him. Ronnie Milsap's album was on the record player when Elvis passed, and I believe it is still there. I also love the songs that come with the montages of Elvis. I have a folder of just Elvis pictures on my laptop, and every now and then I see one I haven't seen, and save it to my folder. Lord, if there ever was a man in this world who was NOT racist, it was Elvis Presley. To me, he embodied MLK's "Judge a man by the content of his character, not the color of his skin." Love to you and the Vibe Gang, your MFAC. KP

I believe this song (written by the great Burt Bacharach) was recorded during that famous Memphis session in 1969 with producer Chips Moman as the B side to "In The Ghetto". I don't know why he never performed it live in concert (as far as I know). I once found a recording of a 1972 rehearsal for the song and it sounds great so it wasn't technically challenging for him. He once again shows tremendous range in his register in this song and it would have been great to have seen him perform this for "That's The Way It Is" or "On Tour".

Thanks Ray. Love this song from the album Elvis in Memphis which was recorded on the back of the Comeback Special. Elvis just sounds amazing on this whole album and In The Ghetto & Suspicious Minds were found and recorded here. According to his friend George Klein there was a fall out between Elvis’ Management and the owners of the studio . George said it was such a shame as Elvis was going back to his roots and never sounded so good and there was never that magic again at a recording session 💙

I was just thinking about the Houston incident when he said if you don't want my girls, you don't get me. Then you said the same thing. THANK YOU SO MUCH MR. ANDRE FOR THIS ONE! ONE OF MY FAVORITES! HAPPY NEW YEAR 2024 TO YOU & YOURS 🎶⚡❤🎶🔔🍻🙌💃🌹 RAY AS ALWAYS THANK YOU SO MUCH 💖💜💙💛🙏🙏🙏🙏 YOU'RE AN AMAZING PERSON 💖💖💖💖 FACTS! I WISH YOUR DAUGHTER ALL THE SUCCESS IN THE WORLD 📚📖📚 AND TO YOUR SON A HAPPY NEW HIGH SCHOOL YEAR 📝🎓👌 Too I forgot to add that if you want to continue with Elvis Christmas music this month I personally see no reason not to do that. Greek Christmas is on January 7th (I'm part Greek so that's how I know that) And Elvis's birthday IS on January 8th. As you know I'm sure. Elvis himself left his Christmas decorations up until the day after his birthday (he loved Christmas THAT much; that nativity they put up outside of Graceland every Christmas? That actually did belong to Elvis & while the lit up 'Merry Christmas Elvis' sign outside is a new one Elvis did actually put up a big Christmas sign that anyone passing by on the highway could read clearly 'Merry Christmas Elvis'). But wait! Elvis Extra! And I am excited to share this one! So Ronnie Tutt was Elvis's regular TCB band drummer. BUT did you know who was Elvis's other drummer was? Read on for more info about Jerome 'Stump' Munroe: Jerome was already a 'powerful' established and sought after drummer by the time he got his chance to work with The TCB Band. He was a session player within the Motown World and the regular drummer for 'The Sweet Inspirations' playing the warm up sessions before the starts of the show. Jerome filled in for Ronnie Tutt for three shows between December 1975 and June 1977. 'Stump' Munroe played with Elvis in Philadelphia in 1971, Las Vegas December 1975 and finally in Madison on June 24th 1977. He was the ideal choice as he knew Elvis' routine and was introduced on stage as 'Stump' by Elvis when it came to band introductions to the audience. Jerome over the years made several appearances in various documentaries about Elvis Presley talking about his short time with Elvis. He has worked and played for Wilson Pickett, Martha Reeves And The Vandellas, Gladys Night And The Pips, Ricky Nelson. Extra Note: Jerome 'Stump' Munroe had a TCB Band Member ID card. And even though I never do this I'll mention here that Jerome 'Stump' Munroe was African- American. He gave a solid interview about what it was like working with Elvis and spoke highly of Elvis. In fact, Elvis invited Jerome and his band members up to his hotel suite after a show and Jerome said that there were a lot of V.I.I.P's there, all there to shake hands with Elvis. So they just sat down and figured they'd just hang out while Elvis met with the people there that night. Instead, according to Jerome himself, Elvis walks in and makes a beeline right for him and his band members and kneels down on the floor of where they're sitting and thanked them for coming and asked them how they were. Jerome was shocked. So he said, "Elvis, you don't gotta sit on the floor, man. You can sit down on your own couch. Just ask me." Elvis told him, "You're my guest, Stump. You sit wherever you want." Jerome spoke of Elvis with fondness and too respect. Jerome had photographs of himself with Elvis, at the International Hotel and at Elvis's home in Beverly Hills too. So yeah. To your point Ray, Elvis really did not have hate in his heart. Too Vernon gave a heartfelt interview where he stated that he and his wife did not raise their son to hate and that Elvis was raised to be a loving Christian. THANK YOU RAY FOR YOUR OPEN MIND & HEART MEANS A LOT MUCH LOVE 💜💙💛💖💕💕💕💕 TCB ⚡ & TLC ❤ & peace ✌& blessings 🙏 to you & yours & to one & all here as well 💕

My whole family loves him still! And you wont be disappointed when you go to Graceland. I went in 88 and all his cars were at his home, not across the street like they are now. I sat in his golf cart and got pics of his mamas pink Cadillac and all of it. Just great momentos I've cherished still. Happy New Year to you and your wonderful family!!! God bless you all!! ✨️ 🎉
