AMAZING Experience on Lufthansa FIRST CLASS | A340-600

I have had the opportunity to fly on Lufthansa's first class, that of United and British Airways too. Of the three, that of Lufthansa was the nicest with a honourable mention to United (now the Polaris class). Lufthansa was also generous enough to give away extra amenity kits, which I gave as gifts to friends and family. I can see that the First Class Terminal in Frankfurt is a wonderful as ever - and - I am happy to see a First Class Lounge in similar quality in München. Weiter so, Lufthansa!

It's a damn shame Hawaiian Airlines doesn't do their first class like this. I love the privacy and space of this window seat. I have an 11hr nonstop flight coming up from Boston Logan to Honolulu on their A330-200. And even though i have a window seat and spent $5000 on this roundtrip flight. I still will be sharing it with someone else next to me. Thankfully their is a partition but it's not really that private. However, the new 787-9 jets they have purchased will offer single travelers a solo space but that's down the line as they only have 2 in service right now operating west coast routes only. Probably to test the waters so to speak. But i see them replacing the aging A330's without question. I can see how they cater more to couples going on honeymoon's wanting to sit next to each other. But they shouldn't forget about solo travelers comfort either. Lufthansa always does it right.

Wine dont need to be expensive to be pleasant and easy to drink. Take Singapore Airlines, they have a wine expert panel who chose expensive specialities but most of them are overstated and are only suitable for a nice discussion at a wine taster event, quite unsuitable for dinner or cheese. Thai had great cheap red wine in business, they simply asked "the regular one or a more fruity one?", both were good, modest and honest, not overstated in any direction. SG fail, Thai win.

It’s so absurd that they don’t drive connecting passengers straight to the FC Terminal, not even upon request… Having to walk over and go through security again is not very premium

there are F lounges in the terminal. FCT was intended and designed for departing pax. They just don't turn you away if you show up as a connecting passenger. Back in 2007 they did shuttle connecting pax (you just had to ask at the F transit desk), don't remember when they actually abolished the service.

Good question. The first class terminal is for those who check in at Frankfurt I think. 🤔 there are a first class lounge inside the terminal as well, but you will not get a a golf cart to the lounge when you get dropped by the main terminal. That it should have been, because other carriers offers transportation inside the terminal in first

Great menu, prawns, caviar and even roasted skrei for main course. Full score on food! More airlines should wake up and remove the horrible salmon items! However i could not believe that Baileys was the only liquor on there, mindblown! Flew Thai business class on my last flight and the two liquors on offer were absolutely top of the line, in business, and LH offers only bad milk on first? I hate to be right again about German mentality, they can throw in a lot of top quality stuff but then to compensate they need to go full OC and save on one important thing. Hopefully they have something they can bring on request, or get from business or economy.

I flew in 2013 from MUC to SFO in the A340-600 and I was asked friendly not to film in the cabin by the head of cabin and it was not to make a you tube video but for holiday memories with my family and I was only allowed to film outside views. Your are lucky that you could exchange your points to a First class ticket, I am trying to book 3 F-tickets for somewhere in the spring of 2023 with miles & more miles and it is not possible via FRA or MUC.

This "1st" Class is so pathetic. SQ, EK and EY would this not even call their Business Class in their A380. Lousy seat, no privacy, terrible colors and a TV screen a little bit bigger than a stamp.... For the price I had to pay I got a mediocre product, mediocre at best! I had to take their "1st" class once, hope I never have to take it again!

Got to admit some of these screens are too big now, you gotta back off to see the whole screen. Also, food and wine is better on LH, the disgusting salmon that SQ and EK keep pushing is tragicomic, it reminds me of the "Veal substitute" skit of Fawlty Towers, thats the comic part. Why cant they be honest and call it what it is "un-smoked salmon substitute with chemically approximated smoke scent/flavour and colour, injected with salt water". You wouldnt dip your other food in unknown chemicals, why is salmon an exception?

I pay thousands of € to have fantastic seat/bed, privacy, a closed cabinet at best, a bathroom that´s not made for size 0 models and yes, a TV screen that deserves the name! I eat in the lounge which works perfectly for me, after that I only want to rest on a 10h+x flight!

Sorry i bothered replying, seeing how polarized you are it became obvious to me that all your experience comes from watching youtube reviews, any traveller with some experience would have a mixed experience, yours being undiveided and with an OCD level of negative criticism is proof that you never flown first or business. Few things in life is that one sided and conclusive, theres so many aspects to a flight that the chances of it being only negative has the same odds as winning in lotto every week, without participating. Happy to hear you enjoy the videos about SG 1st class suites, but when you flown as much as some of us you would definitely be able to mention a few disadvantages about SG, i know i can mention many things i dont like about SG but thats coz i flown with them so many times in REAL LIFE, and i got many things i dont like about LH as well. Try to fly on Pegasus airlines, its a crappy budget airline but for what it is i am impressed, food cost extra and still the food is one of the things i like about Pegasus. Best flight i been on ever? It had no drinks or food servings, not even any attendant but the flight experience was priceless and quite unique. Watching youtube videos about this you can never understand what youre watching, since you dont have any personal experiences to relate the info to.
