But I’d genuinely love to see recaps of them. Whether with heavy censoring or through patreon? Still tho. Stellar recap. Super hype to see the second half.

LOL If I ever did it, I'd go uncensored via patreon but I just don't think I have anything interesting to say about 18+ figures - I'm not really familiar with the manus or the characters - and it's a whole lot of extra work. Hard enough to find time / energy to work on videos I actually want to make outside of recaps as it is. Maybe if I quit my job :P

“The Azur Lane figures never seem to end”, those of us who play it know this all too well, it’s a mix of joy and pain over deciding which to buy as there are too many 😂 Alter really smashed it out of the park though, they don’t go to events for almost a year then throw out some bangers for sure.

The Schwarz arknights figure looks NUTS it's so good. Absolutely love everything about her..the pose, the shading..her eyes are just soo captivating!! I need her..but I'm scared of the price..and the shipping price oml Also I feel the same about the estream Nanami fig..soo disappointing?! Some reason his face just looks weird..he looks wrong, idk. I feel like kotobukiya did him the best so far even though the pose is bland

Those alter fate figures look stunning, if only I had unlimited funds to spend on them haha. I really hope the love live scales continue, the newer girls have only been getting prize figures for the most part T_T

My issue with Fate figures is that I always forget about the Aniplex+ ones and then I miss out lol. Also hard to justify buying more when I have too many Sabers already. I stopped watching after Sunshine, I'm so out of the love live loop now :/ Whenever I see idol figures these days its always Idolmaster so it's nice seeing LL come back with some again.

Megahouse is kinda always hit or miss, though more leaning toward miss. I don't know how they manage to make even their more expensive figures look like they only used the cheapest of materials with the excessive amount of pearl and translucent parts being used on top (among other things like painting figures to reflect a lot of light which makes the figure look like cheap plastic). Like even their 130$ 1/8 scales often don't look as great as some 80$ figures... It's not like other companies don't do that but not nearly as much unless the figures are actually cheap. Which is fair. A 30$ figure that is still comparably large (1/8) can't use the same quality materials and paint. Otherwise I find the current announcements a bit one-sided. I know WonFes doesn't cover absolutely everything being released but once again the ratio of male figures to female figures is really bad. I'm not even expecting a 1:1 ratio but is it too much to ask to get some male figures, too of series that aren't part of biggest shounen manga on the market? Not that I mind those but I can't really feel much excitement for the xth version of a character and in the meantime, female characters from the most unknown series get their figures left and right... Female collectors exist too as well and male ones who also buy male figures. Of course I also buy both but it's really tough at times to wait for a male character of a series while the female ones of a series have gotten 8 releases or more... Still a great video overview as part 1! I find it nice to see someone not care too mich about how sexualized some characters are. People can definitely like what they want, but I like this appreciation for the intricate sculpts with detailed bases, hair and clothes a lot instead of just caring about how much skin is visible. There's also a difference between a character showing some skin but still having the focus on the entire sculpt, and a figure which is blatantly about sex sells.

WF is really awesome this year, if anyone's looking for garage kits of more niche games and stuff, I HIGHLY recommend running through fromjapan right now. I managed to snag a Dark Souls garage kit that is quite literally impossible to find in the US :'). Really good experience this year, it's awesome.

Which Dark Souls character? I've been looking for a cool statue but a lot of the ones from First 4 Figures just don't grab me. Not sure if I'd be up for a GK anyway haha.

@@TheAndoExperience That's fair! I got one of the Abyss Watchers by Creature Hands. I actually quite like their scale figures, but this one was a posable one ala figma. It's just so hard to find any, I was down with them because it was $200 compared to the $350+ of just about everything else... Best of luck, hoping we get any scales with a bigger production soon. The fact figuarts did some chibis for Elden Ring gives me a little more hope of scales happening, at least, haha.

I don't have any GSAS figures but it's just the Chinese branch of GSC . I'd expect it to be the same quality standard as the Japanese branch.

I think they have ok QC at least from experience. Toytec and freeing are the ones that had come with poor QC (Kaguya sama and Hypnosis Mic as examples)
