Wow this happened 2 years ago. I got out of the collecting game right when Covid hit. I was shocked to see that store closed. However, nin-nin game is going strong. Their facebook and instagram page is still strong and people are still sharing the stuff they got from that store.

Hey man, great video. The statue is spectacular, gratz! I personally pre-ordered the HunDian Studio Malenia, which should be finished around this month. Unlicensed studios make amazing pieces as well, but I have to control myself not to order too much lol Also, Colony 9 music :)

All this time and I just realized that the manufacturer is probably pronounced Corgi-Pro-Gkit (like... Garage Kit) OOPS LOL THAT MAKES SO MUCH SENSE NOW. Anyway hope y'all enjoy this one. I may or may not do a big Japan travel / vlog video next but depends how I'm feeling. Also likely won't be monetizing any of my videos moving forward. Not sure if that means you'll see less ads or if YT will yoink all the ad revenue instead.

Same pain happened when i went forward to buy Furukawa Nagisa Nendoroid, but then it was waaaay overpriced and so limited in stock thanks to that darn exclusivity! i wish she gets a re-release...

This is an old video, but I got both for $300 (excluding taxes and shipping). I was astonished how cheap and good quality they are (compared to many overpriced one). How come you found them both for $700? I got mine from AmiAmi

I paid 20k yen each for them so about $130 USD / $190 AUD with the current exchange rate. When I preordered (and prepaid) for them in 2020 the exchange rate to AUD was the worst it had been in 15 years. So ended up being like an extra hundred each compared to today's exchange rate. I also bought mine from AmiAmi (after the Nippon Yasan blunder)

@@TheAndoExperience I might have been lucky with the rates when I ordered, because I was skeptical due to the relative cheap price. But I’m pretty sure it was 20k yen I paid as well. So Nippon Yasan became Nin-nin games? Because I have purchased two figures from Nin-nin and didn’t have any issues (and the price on their website includes taxes, making them really cheap). But I will be more skeptical in the future.

@@Softlol no. Nippon Yasan has nothing to do with Nin Nin Game. Also figure prices have heavily inflated over the last 5 or so years. Re-issues however are usually the same as the original price. I feel like they were still relatively expensive when they first released.

I was so excited to see this pop up in my feed! As a certified anime nerd who also worked in a library for a few years, I wholehearted approve this change in direction. Fantasy isn’t usually my go-to genre, but the Murderbot Diaries by Martha Wells is a great series I read last year that I would highly recommend! The books are pretty short so I found them good for getting through reading slumps. It’s good to see you posting again.

Pretty similar experience to me too personally I started off with arknights Kaltsit n Texas nendoroid, Kaltsit's colours were really washed out and monst3r was TOO SMALL LIKE THAT WAS SOME OF THE BEST PART ABOUT HER ans texas is just aight like a C

Sanderson is one of my favorite authors! It's so cool to see you read them and get so hype about them!! R. F. Kuang is also one of my favorites. I would definitely watch more book content on your channel if that's something that you want to do 🙂 V. E. Schwab's Darker Shades of Magic trilogy is also pretty accessible adult fantasy and has a really cool magic system. The Codex Alera series by Jim Butcher is also great, and has been described by a lot of people as a mix of Roman Empire and Pokemon. Happy reading in 2024!

Took me most of 2022 to read The Way of Kings (of course I started there because everyone was saying it was too 'hard' lol). Read the first 15% of WoR before deciding to commit to reading the rest of the cosmere first which has been a journey lol. Most of this year will just be catching up on Stormlight for Wind and Truth

I think co-de worked a bit better since a lot of the series they did were for kids (ie: pripara) so they worked nicely as 'kid's nendoroids' a lot of the swacchao ones are just characters who already have a ton of options for nendoroids (and even some have nendoroid dolls) so it just feels like they're trying to squeeze out some money drops from already over shilled characters as opposed to making something for a younger audience.

just watched your video, Nippon yassan also scammed me with 2 figures when they disappeared, I was able to refund one fortunately with the help of paypal, but the other one was sadly lost... Nippon yassan was for the most part my first store of preference for several years, I bought with them like 20+ figures and never failed me once, ironically I also got pyra and mythra from them without trouble.... so it was more shocking for me when they disappeared because I had so much trust put on them... that just show us to be very careful buying stuff in the internet even if it's a trusted seller...

I just ordered my 1st anime figure on amiami. It's kanade tachibana from Angel beats from goodsmile. I thought to treat myself this Christmas. It was A- which is super good and was only £52. I think it's a steal for a 1/8 figure from my fav anime of all time-plus I've seen like crazy money like over £100-def can't commit to paying that much yet. I really want yui but I have rarely seen figure of her...
