Chuck has an awesome fish room(s). Love that he is keeping several CARES, an effort I recently joined. A lifetime of knowledge, and the hardest part might be re-learning updated information every few years. lol. I often have to remember 'we don't do it like that now, due to ... blah blah blah'. It truly is an evolving applied science, that is very beneficial for the fish keeper. Thanks Lucas for getting this on film. Chuck 'knows his stuff'!

Lucas, is there any possibility of getting some of these rarer and or endangered fish to other breeders they they can get their own lines of them going? Help boost then numbers back up so they can be reintroduced in the wild? It's going to be a couple years before I can get back and going into the hobby again, but when I do my main focus would be breeding these endangered fish. I'd like to start getting my name out there so I can start getting to know more people in the hobby and get some of these fish.

Would love to see some these vet fish keepers on a panel at say, Aquashella or something similar. Talking bout how they managed breeding and problems back in the day. They have tons of knowledge to share and willing to bet, some of the problems we encounter today have simpler or less costly solutions that have been lost thru time.
@StanTheObserver-lo8rx6 жыл бұрын
What a hobby..one guy is putting endangered fish of no special looks back into habitats..and then you have fish farms pumping out Glo Fish. That's a great fishroom,the plants were awesome. I have to try that crypt. My only bug is the usual one with breeders...the lighting brings out no colors on the fish and I hate all the Flowerpots and PVC stuff. I wish all those guys would take pottery classes and make some caves or buy rocks and spend a few days gluing them into great fish spawning rooms.

Exactly how do you do without air pump. Sorry if you made a video around that, then you can send me the link please. Thank you and love your videos. Cheers
@LRBaquatics Жыл бұрын
I just do. I wish I could make a lengthy video on just that sentence but that would take a lot of fluff. Having biologically sound water (not cholrinated) helps a lot. But when it comes down to the nits and grits its simply mother nature doing what it does. I do mention it a lot in many of my videos and show what I mean and the proof. Watch more of my videos and you will see which should make you feel more comfortable on your decision to do so if you decide.

Very non esthetic aquariums. Any aquascape. Standard views of beginner' or breeder' aquarist: many spices of fish together and without any esthetic scape. Good man, aquariums 👎
