AMAZING Fishing At GREENUP DAM

Went for an evening and morning fishing trip at Greenup Dam on the Ohio river to throw some jigs and get a line wet. No big walleye (yet), but the bite was definitley hot. Like, Comment, and Subscribe for more content!

Just watched this video. I had a great Walleye season this past November, I saw in related items you were using 2.8" that's a little small for walleye here. Me and my buddy were catching 24 a day all over 20 on 4" kietech swim baits. We put most back because we were fishing a tributary upstream with lower limits. Also had 3 really nice sauger one day 2 19" and 1 that was half inch off wv state record 22 1/2. All 4" 1/4 jig head really slow retrieve.

I went there and wore them out all day long. So much fun. I caught a morone hybrid that weighed in at a even 13lbs. 5" white fluke with spike it on the tail.

You gotta fish the big miami when it warms up for carp, buffalo, and catfish. Its very well worth it if you know where to go.

Do saugers have eyesight similar to walleyes? If so, late dusk and early dawn fishing would be pretty good, right?

Very good. Glad your fishing trip was successful! Just went to the James R for blues and only caught one about 15lb. Usually I get 40's + and lose count of 20-30's. It's ok though, I'll just have way more of an attitude next time, lol.

Those fish you were releasing behind the little medal wall isn't going back into the river unless the water comes up. So they are going to die if someone didn't get them out. You are fishing my home water. Up by the wall where you started there is a big rock pile down below you

There was a large hole in the rusted out metal that I saw them swim out through. You can go check yourself it's on the right side just to the right of the rocks within the metal.

@@raygillem4768 dude I'm telling you go and look. The water was more than high enough for the fish to swim through. If you're so close you can go look and see. There are multiple large holes in the rusted metal. If I'm wrong I'm wrong but I legit saw them swim out

@@xXBBoutdoorsXx that's only IF they find the hole before the water comes down. Maybe they will, maybe they won't, but why take the unnecessary risk when you could step 10 steps to the south and toss them back in the open river?

When the water goes down all those fish you threw back behind the wall will die. Throw them back in main river
