Lifelong Missourian, who lived just north of St. Joseph, I had to laugh when you said, about the humidity, “How do you people live here?!?” I had to answer: “Inside. We live inside.” 🤣🤣 At least on the worst days. I despise humidity.

Although I grew up in Missouri, I've now been in Memphis, TN, for 38yrs. When you said, "How do these people LIVE here!" about Missouri, I had to say "Try it down here in MEMPHIS, girl!!"😮😮😮 It's like the Seven Circles of Soggy HELL in summer down here! STUPID, sticky hot! However...weird little, probably climate change related thing: Since about '03, we will have a few random July days when it will suddenly off COOL!! (A very few...maybe one or two.) It is so unusual for here, that you almost feel guilty enjoying it.

I'm in Granite city , Il. and we get tornado warning sirens at least 2 - 3 times a year. Last year the Amazon warehouse about 3 or 4 miles from me got hit really hard. The workers did not hear the sirens and were not allowed to carry their phones on them or they may have had some warning. Something like 5 people were killed. I hate that I don't know the exact number. It feels a bit disrespectful and I would never want to be that. I do love a good thunderstorm though. Actually, we've been hit at least 3 times here in my lifetime. Anyway, Missouri is a beautiful state with many rivers that you can float in a canoe or get an innertube. The rivers are spring fed and gorgeous! Have fun!

I just took that route back in May! I was surprised at how much I actually enjoyed Missouri. When you get into the farm areas it reminded me of Vermont with all the Rollinghills and cows everywhere! I even stopped and checked out the Laura Ingalls Wilder house… I had no idea she and her family had spent time in Missouri. Thanks for taking us along on your Journey ☺️

Hey Carolyn! Thought it was me about the humidity in MO. You made me feel good. Besides the spiders in MO, be careful around the water with snakes. Was waterskiing there with wife and daughter. I came out of the wake and just ahead spotted a cottonmouth waiting on me. Wife thought I was going to fall, but I decided to walk on water instead missing the snake. Enjoyed the beauty of your video. Stay safe on your travels.

I'm in an area of Arkansas that doesn't get a tornado every year, but we almost always get multiple tornado warnings. I'd like to have a shelter nearby. Also, the local meteorologists refer to the high humidity as, :the air you wear". i'm ready for a drier, cooler, less turbulent climate!
