I bought one of these E-Bikes. When installing front wheel make sure to take off disc pad holder shim before assembling. Save this when ever front wheel is removed to hold in disc.👍

@4:00. Those are two springs. One for each side of the Wheel

That is right and their direction (of the spring) is also important. Plus if the wheel is not aligned it will make some sound in moving. By some hit and trial it can be set right. Battery: when I called them they told with assisted driving, the battery distance is 36 miles (if I remember correctly.)

@@obl1xif_y981 I missed out. Kohl's had it for $599.00 on Black Friday with $180 in Kohls cash back. I opted to wait because it will be cold for the next 4-5 months so I wont be using a bike, but I'll keep an eye on the prices. I really want an electric bike...even if it's not this particular one.

Just picked one up tonight. I'm in eastern NC so to get one from GOTRAX would have required paying shipping from TX. I found one locally at Kohl's oddly enough. It was 599.99 plus tax and no shipping. Too, I got 120.00 in Kohl's cash to shop at kohl's. I used my Apple Card and got cash back from that...score. If I put it together tomorrow I'll post an update here.

I think there were supposed to be two springs included in the quick release system, because in other unboxings it shows installation of the wheel with two springs. Could you please explain?

I wish there were standard interchangeable batteries for bikes. Some companies are going to fall out of production eventually, and no replacement batteries will be available. I would have bought this one ($598 on sale) except for no info on the battery.

I wish I would have purchased one yesterday when I had the chance. I was surprised when I looked at the box, it did not mention that it could run on throttle alone. It only mentioned "pedal assist".

When I got mine I had to completely remove and adjust the front and rear brakes so I basically had to become a disk brake repair man while taking the bike out of the box... The front brake was completely bound and the rear was not as bad I thought it was ok but when I rode it it wasn't it was constantly grinding so I had to take it all apart and learn to adjust that one as well... Luckily I worked on car electronics for 7 years so I had a good bit of mechanical knowledge to help me out lol

I am having an issue now I bought it in August 2021 and tried to assemble I installed per instructions and charged the battery... I did not ride it because I had to diagnose and solve the breaking issues I live in Boston Massachusetts so over time winter became an issue, (also I had not got on a bike in 20 years so anxiety was an issue lol) anyway I did not ride it untill a month ago when it started to get warmer I have only had it out a hand full of times and I'm having a blast but now I charged it last August and it essentially sat all winter just with some tinkering and cosmetic add-ons, now the battery will not charge all the way up... I don't know if it's the battery gauge on the battery itself? The green lights don't all light green but the gauge on the handle bars show 4 full power LEDs... I'm going to try to contact gotrax but now that it's out of the six month warranty they won't fix anything but I just want my freakin battery to charge all the way if anyone has any ideas please comment back thanks!

You should insert the battery into the bike with the battery switch OFF, to prevent sparking.

Please do some reviews on bike trainers for indoor bike exercise using the real bicycle a person already owns. Try the magnetic resistance trainers and the oil or fluid resistance kinetic trainers and the bike roller trainers that have the three wide rollers that you ride on.

I've used trainers since 80s indoors. Rollers, turbos ,magnetics all of them. Settled on a Wahoo smart trainer. It can I pick my outdoor routes and it works with popular apps like Zwift. Currently riding the Wahoo and Zwift. Makes indoors a real virtual experience. Best money spent on a bike in many decades. I ride every day. Indoors from Dec to March. Finally have a great setup . Mine uses any of my bikes .

It’s a good question and I’m not sure. At 5’8”, I’d say that this in its smallest, shortest setting is ok for me but its on the verge of being too big. I have to have the seat in the lowest position so I definitely think it would work for taller peeps but I’m just estimating

If you buy directly from Gotrax you won't have to pay sales tax, and now they have an additional 5% off. However, if you have trouble and get a lemon, it's real easy to return to Walmart if you order from Walmart. Not sure how that would play out if ordering direct from Gotrax.
