This is the most exhausting chart I've ever passed. Epic Manner is now within striking distance. Chart is from Aoreo's Index Jawn 2. Twitch muted the end of the video so I spliced the song in on top of it.

This is ridiculous haha, also that difficulty generating program you have going is one of the greatest things I've seen so far here!

Just downloaded Index Jawn 2 in hope there are a lot more charts like this. 95% of the rest are out of my index skill range D: Anything above the Tachyon Epsilon 24's just aren't achievable for me and this makes me sad.

so I'm guessing when you play a song for the first time, the difficulty is generated?
@RemixSSBM9 жыл бұрын
Alessandro Tenorio-Bucci no. i'd guess the difficulty is calculated once when the song is selected on the menu, then in game it starts at 0 and recalculates the difficulty each step, so that you can see how certain parts of the song affects the difficulty. it's nice so that we can see the details of what is determining the difficulty, without actually having to read and understand the algorithm (which btw is something we're not allowed to do as far as i know). it's a computer, it takes .000000001 seconds to run the algorithm on the whole chart or any part of the chart, so why not run it every single step on the notes that have been played so far so you can see the difficulty change in real time? P.S.: you can see it's rated 130 at the start of the video, and by the last note of the song it gets up to 130.

Alessandro Tenorio-Bucci All of the difficulties are calculated when you first launch the program. When you select a song, it re-analyzes the chart step by step building a cache of what the difficulty is up to each step. In the live evaluation on gameplay it shows the difficulty you have played so far. If you fail, then on evaluation it shows the difficulty you played before failing, rather than the total difficulty of the song.

So is there going to be a set difficulty range, because all I saw the number ascending and never decreasing during the easy measures. At first I thought the runs were being counted. All in all I think this is one of the most interesting concepts I've ever encountered. All music games could benefit from this program. I would say excellent job but your ability is already far beyond anyone else's.

RyuHirakashi1 Well if you think about it it should never decrease at any point, because it doesn't get any easier to pass the parts you just passed just because there are easy parts after it. I could see why it wouldn't increase at all in easy parts but it shouldn't really decrease either.

Matt Gardner I think it would be a good idea to show both, so that it is clear from the screenshot which chart you played (it also would be nice for anyone who hasn't seen the chart to be able to see "how much" of the total difficulty you passed, i.e. 100/130).
