i often mirror my iphone 14 pro mirrorless to my macbook using quicktime. As far as using ipad, I remember using Movipro remote. making it possible to use ipad as wireless monitor. it used to work a few years ago, haven't tried it recently.

Can you shoot Apple log in h265 to save space? Or do you need to shoot in ProRes to get the benefits of log?

You can as of right now. It’s slightly buggy .. but it’ll either be stable soon with an update or Apple will make them remove it

App update has come out in the last day or so which seems to fix the display/exposure gamma issue so it runs as expected now. Also displays LUTS correctly when shooting now as well. So jump in and shoot that sweet h265 4k60 Apple log internally (or external if you prefer that workflow).
