As we kick off 2024, on 1/2 I decided to head down south to the Western New York & Pennsylvania Railroad to chase their Falconer Turn OL-2. With this train still supporting Alco Century Locomotives for power, I figured I would take advantage of the dry but gloomy weather to get my shots of these beasts, as their time on the WNYP is becoming more and more limited by the day. I would start off my chase in the village of Allegany, where I would witness OL-2 departing the Olean yard with Alco C430 432 in the lead, which is one of only four operating C430s left in existence. 432 supports a really great sounding Nathan K5LA Airhorn, which was blasting loud and proud throughout the entirety of the chase! Trailing behind 432 would be Alco C424 435. I would continue my chase west, capturing the pair of Alco Centuries passing through the towns of Carrollton, Salamanca, and Randolph before concluding the chase in the small town of Kennedy!
