First Look at Arcade & Attica 18! Wednesday Excursion & More on The Arcade & Attica Railroad 8/14/24

On 8/14, I headed down south of Buffalo originally to capture Buffalo & Pittsburgh's Arcade Turn Job BF-1. With no sign of BF-1 present, I would decide to head down to Arcade, NY to see what the Arcade & Attica Railroad was up to. After hearing the recent news of the completing of the rebuild of their Alco 2-8-0 Steam Locomotive 18, I wanted to see if I could get any shots of it. Arriving at Arcade, I found GE 80 Tonner 113, as it left the A&A shops with a single combine car preparing for the railroad's weekly Wednesday excursion. I would then proceed to get some still shots of 18 which was steaming outside the engine shop. After breaking for lunch, I would then proceed to chase 113 on its Wednesday afternoon excursion from Arcade to Curriers. Arriving back in Arcade, I would fine 18 on one of its several test runs. Taking note of this, I would set up at the Bixby Hill Road crossing for one shot of 18 as it came steaming by light engine! I just took a ride on this beautiful steam locomotive and it was amazing - highly encourage all to get to arcade and enjoy this experience - really enjoyed learning the history of the railroad as well

When I was 5 years old,I rode A&A 18.In 2019 when 18 started disassemble we had to ride their GE switcher locomotives.
