This approach is actually impossible . You always put your lives at risk when approach at this place.
@chris22capt Жыл бұрын
Not really anymore. With recent RNAV development, one can fly the approach more safely with higher precision on both lateral and vertical navigation, hence less risk.

Why isn't the captain bhutanese ?
@ZK-APA5 жыл бұрын
さおとめらんま most probably because there wasn’t any experienced Bhutanese captain at that time.
@MichalThomaGuru3 жыл бұрын
There are no Bhutanese captains for ATR. Only foreigners (Greeks and Czechs as of now).

If you don’t want to be another air crash statistic, it is best to avoid flights like these - mountainous areas, third world airline, commuter aircraft.

Well, many don't have a choice. Traveling via vehicle into Paro or anywhere in Bhutan is incredibly difficult and time-consuming. Not to mention that vehicular travel is much more dangerous than air travel-especially in this area

Paro already using RNAV technology for its arrival and approach on both runway sides, so it's definitely safer than ever. RNP 1 capability required for the arrival and RNP 0.30 capability required to fly the approach.
